The resort is an extremely safe, secluded and quiet place. If that's what you're looking for, this is your spot (we were). It's as close as you can possibly get to the toll bridge over to Sanibel/Captiva. That was great for the beaches, restaurants, etc (don't like the $6 tolls but that's another story).
The pool is quite nice. We checked out the Mariott facilities, but ultimately decided the difference in quality of pool wasn't enough to justify a $50 per day fee for the family. The beach isn't great (small, not kept real clean). That's my biggest complaint. But we just went to beaches on Sanibel when the kids wanted a full beach experience. The unit itself is well equipped and furnished. Carpet is great to avoid the nasty sandy feel on your feet all week that you get when floor is all tile. View from the room to the pool is great if you have young kids like we do.
Great relaxing stay! And Angelo is so friendly and helpful on site. Thanks again!
