"Fantastisk resort"

"First impression is that this is a nice hotel, but you soon see the shortcuts. Poor cleaning resort wide. See lightswitches, elevator buttons etc. You can clearly see that it is no effort in keeping it clean. We actualy tried various places in our room, and just wather and cloth removed stains... "

"This was a weird hotel. Fun in a way, but had a bad smell and everything felt like it had seen better days. We chose this hotel because you could rent bicycles and other things and because it is close to Sanibel. We only tried the bicycles. You can go to the beach with them, but not much other things to ride to in the area. The staff had no suggestions. Some of the bicycles were in poor condition. Breakfast was not the best, pretty much cakes and bagels. Pool really deep, not suitable for young children who can’t swim. Had some pool toys, but some had seen better days and others you had to inflate yourself. Umbrellas flew off during sudden winds and almost hit the kids in the pool. The sofabed was a joke, it was like sleeping on a hill. Felt like we were going to step through the upstairs floor at one place in particular. Had a moldy smell that sat in our clothes and things for a few days. Great kitchen, but they say they charge you for any missing items (hangers, knifes, forks etc) without telling you how many there should be in the first place. It was a place you are closer to nature than other hotels though, so it might still be worth it. I think it was too pricey for what we got."
