The Space:

Pear Tree Cottage is a spacious and characterful thatched home offering everything you need for a relaxing getaway.



Inside you'll find comfortable living spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, elegantly decorated bedrooms and plenty of room for families and groups to gather together.



The entrance hallway features beautiful wooden flooring, and a stairwell to the first floor. Off this space awaits an attractive reception room with original wood flooring and french doors leading to a rear patio and the garden. This relaxing and inviting space features antique storage pieces, a deep seat matching armchair and sofa set, a writing desk and TV with streaming services available.



At the other end of the ground floor is a superb triple aspect kitchen dining space. The white finished kitchen is beautifully designed with granite worktops surrounding an island with breakfast bar and high stools, and plenty of integrated storage. There's also a wine fridge and all the kitchen equipment you'll need for home cooking.



Also off the kitchen is a dedicated utility room with a washer dryer unit, belfast sink, and closet WC.



The bright dining space off the kitchen overlooks the rear garden and patio, and showcases a large wooden table set for 8 people to enjoy memorable meals together in a truly stunning setting.



Upstairs are four bedrooms, two on each end of the cottage, with a long blue decorated hallway with windows overlooking the road front side of the cottage.



The master ensuite features a super king bed in a generous-sized, light and airy room overlooking the garden, with a stunning pale paisley patterned wallpaper throughout. There's a substantial built-in wardrobe with travel cot stowed for little ones, bedside cabinets, a floor standing mirror, plus a dressing table, stool and mirror.



The modern ensuite inside the master has parquet flooring underfoot, a walk-in quadrant rainfall shower, a bath tub, granite top vanity basin, toilet, and heated towel rail.



Next door is a lovely twin single bedroom, with two single sized wooden beds, and a chest of drawers for storage. The room is decorated in an early aviation wallpaper, and is ideal for children and teens.



At the other end of the upstairs are two further bedrooms, the first is the Tulip Room, decorated with delightful green and red floral wallpaper. The kingsize Victorian iron frame bed sits opposite a built-in wardrobe with plenty of hanging space, plus a stunning dark wood dressing table with oval mirror and lamp.



The forth and final bedroom is a double room, with a white finished iron bed frame, bedside cabinets and lamps either side, and a further chest of drawers — with a charming rabbit pattern wallpaper, and a garden view through the cottage windows.



Also on the first floor is a brand new family shower room in black & white tones, with parquet flooring, a generous walk-in rainfall shower with crittall style screen, toilet, towel rail, and vanity unit with a hanging mirror above.



Outside, guests can enjoy a magnificent layered country garden, with a lawn, patio areas, and a rich tapestry of plants, shrubs and trees — perfect for relaxing in after a day exploring The New Forest or The Cranborne Chase. There's an outdoor dining set with 8 chairs, and a wooden bench on the opposite side.



Up a few steps to the rear of the garden is a hot tub, with enough space for all the family, in a tranquil elevated position overlooking the garden and cottage.



The property lies on the Hampshire side of a triple border of three counties, with Wiltshire nearby to the north and Dorset not far to the west.



The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests and offers a wonderful balance of traditional charm and modern convenience.



Guest Access:

Guests will have exclusive access to the entire property, garden and hot tub throughout their stay.



Private parking is available for up to two vehicles.



The Neighborhood:

Located in the picturesque village of Whitsbury, Pear Tree Cottage enjoys a fantastic location on the Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset borders.



The New Forest National Park is right on your doorstep to the east and south-east, offering miles of walking, cycling and horse-riding routes. As is the Cranborne Chase National Landscape AONB to the north-west. The market town of Fordingbridge is just a short drive away south, whilst Salisbury is a short drive north. Bournemouth and the beautiful South Coast beaches are all within easy reach.



The popular Cartwheel Inn is located next door, making it easy to enjoy a meal or drink without needing to drive.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended to make the most of the surrounding area and local attractions. Bikes are another way to see this stunning landscape, or long walks on foot!



Private parking is provided for two vehicles only.

• Private hot tub available for guest use throughout your stay.



• Pear Tree Cottage is a traditional thatched property. Please take extra care around the cottage and do not use candles, fireworks, fire pits or any naked flames anywhere on the premises.



• The property is located in the peaceful village of Whitsbury on the edge of the New Forest National Park and The Cranborne Chase National Landscape AONB.



• The Cartwheel Inn country pub is located next door and offers food, drinks and a welcoming village atmosphere.



• Private parking is strictly limited to 2 vehicles in the designated spaces in front of the garage only. Parking is not permitted on the shared driveway, in the lane opposite, or on neighbouring land.



• Additional parking may be available directly through the Cartwheel Inn, subject to availability and their own charges. Bond Holiday Homes cannot arrange or guarantee additional parking.



• Please ensure the lane gate remains closed and locked when not in use.



• The cottage is ideal for families and those looking for a relaxing countryside escape. Parties, events and excessive noise are not permitted.



• Check-in is from 4:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am.



• Due to the rural location, mobile phone signal may vary depending on your network provider.



• For the comfort of future guests, smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the property.



• We kindly ask guests to respect our neighbours and keep outdoor noise to a minimum, particularly during the evenings.



• There are stairs to reach the upper floor of the property.
