What’s nearby:
During your stay, take advantage of the many outdoor activities offered on the island including fishing, surfing, biking, kayaking, boating, and much more. Sign up at the local rental shops for surfing or paddle boarding lessons. Shopping, restaurants, and bars are located on Center Street (a little less than one mile away). A short drive (approximately 11 miles) will take you to downtown Charleston, where you can enjoy shopping, fine dining and local historic tours.

The pictures do not look like the property. There was a LOT of mold on the living room ceiling, paint peeling off ceiling in a bedroom and the living room, water stains on living room ceiling, slip covers on furniture ripped and unsightly, additional sofa and chairs in living room that were not pictured and made room look too crowded. Notified management company of mold, etc, provided pictures, no one contacted us. DO NOT rent this property.

Comfortable oceanfront home

Walking in to that open space does not disappoint! The view is incredible and the access to the beach is perfect. If you like lived-in, comfortable accommodations, then this is the place for you. If you prefer new, pristine places, then you should look elsewhere. The blinds and windows need some maintenance, the rusted vent covers and cabinet hinges need to be replaced and the stained chair needs to go but all very minor things that didn't impact our stay. Lots of room - looked like it used to be a duplex. We loved it and would rent it again. Vacasa was also wonderful - very communicative and attentive during our stay.

Vacationer Beware

To start, I did read a lot of the reviews before booking, but this property was the last property available for the dates I needed it, and there is a very good reason this property was the last available. Every single negative review was spot on. The management company has not made even one improvement. Black mold on the ceiling that’s seriously water damaged, peeling and even a nice little half effort paint job to cover I’m assuming water damage/mold. Back patio is sketchy, lots of damaged boards and bowing wood, be very careful where you walk. The most appalling was a piece of furniture that was completely destroyed and stained, I am absolutely mind blown that someone leaves it on the property, it looks as if they found it at a crime scene and took it home. No one would sit on this chair and it gave an unsettling feeling about the other furniture. I’m not really sure what exactly they’re are cleaning in between bookings bc the bathroom was dirty, hair on the walls and back porch f the door, cupboards in the kitchen were sticky, and you could see dirty hand prints EVERYWHERE, on every door, handle, furniture, walls, everywhere. The room I stayed in looked to have had an accident where someone spilled coffee or some other brown substance down the wall, it was the first thing I noticed walking in so I cannot fathom how house keeping missed it. I took pictures of everything and will be escalating this to ensure it’s not used until it isn’t a hazard and properly cleaned.

Nice place, need a little TLC

The overall property was very nice and clean for the most part, however the bathrooms had mold on the ceilings, and some water damage as well in the living room, could use a paint job in an upkeep. The deck was very nice to sit on, however the wood planks have nails that are coming up and can be dangerous for people so I would suggest replacing some boards and making sure they are fastened properly

Great location snd good house

The house is good. It is smaller than it looks in the photos but that is fine. Here are some things that weren't great. I read other reviews that complained about this too. What is with the toilet paper? Charge $2 more if you have to but have more than 2 of those cheapest rolls for four people. We had to go buy toilet paper on day 2. The house SHAKES. It shakes when the wind blows hard, it shakes when someone 200 lbs walks across the room. Get some two by fours and cross the pilings underneath. It is very unsettling. For the porch, please buy a few taller chairs or let people know that you cannot sit on the porch in a normal chair and see over the bench that surrounds the entire porch. And the bench forces your back to the ocean. This is an easy fix and the porch is nice otherwise! In the bedroom to the right when you walk in, please please fix it so the AC unit does not rattle the entire window in that bedroom. I got not one good night's sleep because of that. It is loud. Other than that, the house in good. The den especially has lots of comfy seating and the beach views are fantastic from inside and if you stand up on the porch. Might want to invest $15 in at least stainless steel cheapo pot that does not have teflon scraping off into your food. Just some super tiny modiciations would make this house an absolute gem. Good distance to Bert's and everything else. We had a great time. Please at least swiffer the floors. We know no one did before our stay.

Beautiful home and perfect location

We could not have picked a better house for our girls weekend! The location is unreal...it's right on the beach with a private entrance to the sand :) It's a little far from downtown Charleston, but it was easy to schedule Ubers to get in and out of downtown. We had a minor issue with the stove light constantly being on, and the property manager answered quickly and swiftly, and was able to send us portable burners to cook with to be safe. I would definitely book this house again!

Great place

The stay at the beach house was wonderful with a stunning view. The location was convenient with the beach access right out your back door, and the restaurant’s were within walking distance. There was also a Harris Teeter not to far away for food and supply runs. The beach house was pretty clean with the exception of needing new shower curtains. Most essentials were provided but pick up beach towels, beach chairs, garage bags and extra personal supplies. Checking in early for this property is not really available, however, you can always ask, but checking out is more flexible if needed.

We liked this property very much. The only negative is the lack of blinds on the sliding doors. It is very difficult to keep the living room dark for nesting turtles.

Location was perfect!!

We enjoyed our stay but there is truly nothing there for a beach stay. We did not realize they would not have any beach towels or beach accessories for use. When you fly to your location you are limited what you can bring. Be careful of raised boards and nails on the deck. Ouch!! The house was a great location with a lot of room. The beach access was so close and easy. Just make sure you bring what you need to be on the beach. Lots of great restaurants and bars in Walkable distance. I recommend any of them!!

Great place - needs only a tweak or two

Great place and outstanding location - very clean and simple - we like simple - no grill should have meant at least a broiling pan, and had sleeping for 9 and steak knives for 7, so a few thoughtful tweaks would take what I call a 4.8 really to a full 5 - thanks!

Lovely stay!

This is a perfect spot for a beachfront vacation. The home is well laid out and feels really spacious. Plenty of towels provided and was very clean. The only complaints are that the driveway is sand and when it's raining it's basically a mud river to the house. And I wish they'd provided a few blankets around the house. But otherwise highly recommend. We'd definitely come back!
