We truly enjoyed our stay, but the way our departure was handled was unacceptable and has overshadowed an otherwise nice trip.
Our airport transfer was arranged through the hotel’s affiliated transportation company. We were given a confirmed pickup time and followed all instructions. Despite this, no driver arrived. There was no communication, no update, and no response to calls or messages — all while we were traveling with a toddler and facing the risk of missing our flight.
Because the transportation was booked through the hotel’s partnered provider, we trusted it would be reliable. When it failed, we were left scrambling and had to pay out of pocket for a last-minute taxi to the airport.
While the front desk apologized, this was a service arranged through the hotel’s official travel partner, and guests should not bear the financial or emotional burden of that failure.
We are requesting reimbursement for the taxi expense at minimum, and we believe additional goodwill compensation would be appropriate given the stress and risk this situation caused — especially traveling with a young child.
We hope management reviews this seriously and makes it right.
