Fint opphold!
Flott hotell med fine rom. Utendørs svømmebasseng og spa-avdeling samt en veldig bra restaurant med god middag og frokost. Hadde gjerne dratt tilbake igjen! Parkeringsplass utenfor men denne var full da vi kom. Dog ingen problemer med å parkere på en større parkeringsplass som var like ved.

Booked a weekend in the cosy room for my husband's birthday. The room was lovely and surprisingly spacious. The hotel is a stones throw from Magdalen Road, City Centre and the Quay which was perfect! Staff were also really friendly and helpful!

Had coats stolen from car in the car park even though paid for 3 days parking on site. Staff excellent, friendly and attentive at all times.

Err... Characterful.
The heating in my room (108) didn't work (or I couldn't work out how to use it), but the bar lounge was really nice, and we were served particularly well by the breakfast bar lady and the barmen.

Great location and a comfortable place to stay.
Functional, comfortable and pleasant. The staff were particularly welcoming and seem happy in their work; only too pleased to help. An excellent central location.

Xmas market stay
We had a great stay. Polite and helpful checking in, good location, good room, very good breakfast. Just wish there had been a separate shower as not good having a shower curtain wrapped round you in the bath.

Deluxe room not very practical or worth the money
Stayed in a Deluxe room but open plan tiny bathroom (no door off the room and separate toilet basically in a cupboard. Storage space is limited - wardrobe is tiny and there is no dressing table so you have to stand up to do hair and make-up. For the price not a very practical room.

Gorgeous hotel but attention to detail lacking
A gorgeous hotel with really lovely staff, but unfortunately we had so many niggles with our suite that meant it was not the relaxing stay we had hoped for. It wasn't a great start when, upon walking into the bathroom, there was a piece of screwed up, dirty toilet tissue by the side of the toilet. This was followed by discovering that the fridge was out of order, there was a flickering light bulb that made one set of lights unusable, and the television by the bed had no working sound. We reported these issues and reception staff were helpful and said they would send someone to fix the TV and asked if we'd like the light bulb fixed too. Unfortunately the person sent to fix the TV was not able to do so. He arranged for the cocktails that we had ordered to be free of charge. We then ordered some room service and slightly misread the menu (the caveats were complicated). We had asked for a charcuterie and cheese board, but a cheese board (with blue cheese - not what we wanted) arrived. We called reception and the person that took the order explained that when she put our order through, the chef told her they weren't doing the charcuterie board yet. Unfortunately she had not called us back, so we ended up with something we didn't want. They kindly swapped it over for us, but it meant it was gone 21:00 by the time we ate. The bed was comfortable and room nicely decorated with a quaint theme. The breakfast was fantastic and the dining area really pleasant.

A fine old building ( once a hospital) with character throughout. We enjoyed The Junior suite with its very comfy bed and a massive bath to indulge in. We booked outdoor parking in front of the hotel, but there's a large car park next door anyway. Just a few minutes walk to centre of town and the impressive cathedral

Hotel staff were polite & very helpful. Booked only about 2 hrs before arrival and ended up staying for 5 days due to work commitments.Reception managed to accommodate me in the same room despite being virtually full to capacity . Breakfast & dinner are now served in the new restaurant which overlooks the garden area . Great start & end to each day with good food. Pool are is a nice touch being able to swim outside in a heated pool in Autumn Will definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay. The welcome team were super and organised early access to our room. The spa team were incredible and the massages were very relaxing. Food was lovely; bar drinks delicious. Our little sausage dog was made to feel so welcome. We can’t wait to return

Perfect for One Night - comfy bed, helpful staff!
I stayed one night in the Single Comfort Room as I was back in Exeter to visit old University friends. Very comfy bed with nice pillows and a decent shower. The room is pricy for what it offers, since it is on the smaller side and doesn't have a wardrobe, so ideal for a quick trip. Staff were lovely and helpful. The outdoor pool was a nice bonus, although the hotel could improve by having a gym.

I stayed for 2 nights for wedding in bee cottage. It was dusty and it was not cleaned to a high standard. The lights were dusty, no one came to clean during my stay despite asking which meant I had to stay in a room with rubbish. No fresh towels were provided. I asked for coffees which were never delivered. I asked for toilet roll replacement and was given 1. I needed the luggage trolley and was told it would be brought to me but I eventually had to get it myself. The concept of the bee cottage is lovely and the hotel is lovely but I felt disappointed and as though I did not receive enough care and attention.

Scott, thank you for leaving your feedback about your stay. I am pleased you liked the Beekeeper cottage room - it really is lovely tucked away in the garden! All rooms are cleaned and then checked by a Housekeeping Supervisor, and the highest of standards are maintained. With regard to your comments about the room not being serviced - you had put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up, and by the time you requested the room to be serviced - after 21:30 - the main Housekeeping team had gone home. I know that the Duty Manager came to change the bins for you as requested, and the replacement of one toilet roll does not seem unreasonable as there is always a replacement roll in the bathroom on arrival. I am sorry you felt disappointed by the service you received - this is far from the usual feedback about our team. I hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.
