  • Escape to this unique, modern mountain getaway located only minutes from Old Rag, White Oak Canyon, trout fishing, horseback riding, wineries, and breweries. Our new construction A-frame cabin offers a cozy space with all the amenities, a private patio with a stone firepit, and mountain views. We are conveniently located only 1.5 hours from Northern VA, 1 hour from Charlottesville, and 2 hours from Richmond. Are your desired dates already booked?     The space
    Our secluded 10 acre property does include another A-frame cabin and a private residence.

    This cabin is a chic space with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, living room, and upstairs bedroom loft. The loft contains an open bedroom with a queen size bed and dresser. To access the loft, there is a steep staircase. In addition to the loft bedroom, we offer a queen pull out sofa bed located on the first level of the cabin.

    Unwind and relax in our cozy cabin with unlimited WIFI, a smart TV, and board games. Need a snack or coffee? We offer that too! Then, you can head outside to your private outdoor patio which includes a stone firepit, 4 Adirondack chairs, firewood, fire starters, marshmallow skewers, and a propane grill. Enjoy the fresh mountain air while hanging with friends making s’mores!

I highly recommend this cabin. It is beautiful, very private, very clean and well planned. The fire pit was perfect (complete with a little s’mores packet for each of us and plenty of firewood). We wished we could have stayed longer. We hiked Old Rag and went to two wineries and visited Sperryville but there is lots more to see in this beautiful county.

We had an amazing time at The Cabins at Old Rag. The cabin was a wonderful glamping experience with comfortable furniture and beds, nice clean linens and towels, and all of the comforta you might expect from a high end hotel room but seated conveniently at the base of Old Rag Mountain. Alison gave great recommendations for nearby (15-20 minutes) restaurants which were delightful as well. I did not have any cell service in the area so be sure to put the address into GPS while you have service. The wifi was great though so we had no issues once at the cabin. 10/10 would definitely stay again.
