We arrived for a one night getaway with our kids. The unit we rented was very cold when we arrived and within thirty minutes we realized the heater was not turning on. The fireplace was also broken. After contacting management they sent a maintenance worker over to try to repair the thermostat. We were keeping calm, assuming it would get repaired and the heat would start soon, it was 57 degrees inside. So far the trip was not starting out smoothly, we were trying to watch a football game, but also having to text with management and have people in and out of the unit. 2hr later we were told they couldn’t repair the heater. We were given one small electric heater. The guy at the front desk was being kind and apologetic, but didn’t seems to understand why we wanted to consider leaving after we asked to move rooms and all they could offer were two separate one bedroom units. We have kids and that is not an option for us to split up, and super lame when we booked the two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. They couldn’t get any more electric space heaters. It seemed like they didn’t really understand why we decided to leave. I asked for a refund AND expressed that we should be compensated for the hassle and offered a voucher for an additional night free to return at another time. The manager (off site, but front desk guy was communicating with) refused to offer us any additional perks and would only issue a refund. I asked to speak with her and she refused. Terrible service.
