«The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now! Our backs are sore we are very tired from such a bad night sleep from the springs in the mattress You can hear the trains but I expect that as it’s next to the station. «I have been in Portsmouth lots of times and stayed at different hotels and houses. Blue Star House might very well be on top of my list! I like the self service way of doing things, and also the owner is very quick to respond if there is any inquiries. I will most definitely come back here. The location is great too. The rooms are a bit small, but who cares. When in Portsmouth, you do not stay in your hotel room, you go outside ;)»
