«Property was clean and as a family we felt safe staying there. Room was a nice size and our stay there was good. The parking outside was often difficult to find spaces and due to permit holder restrictions 4:30pm-6:30pm you have to lose your space every day you stay. If you have a large vehicle you need to park I would not recommend any accomodation in this area. Not the fault of the owner though and if you don't require parking for a large vehicle it's a fine accomodation.»

«The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now! «I have been in Portsmouth lots of times and stayed at different hotels and houses. Blue Star House might very well be on top of my list! I like the self service way of doing things, and also the owner is very quick to respond if there is any inquiries. I will most definitely come back here. The location is great too. The rooms are a bit small, but who cares. When in Portsmouth, you do not stay in your hotel room, you go outside ;)»
