«The text we were sent was very informative as to how to get in and where to park. The room was much more plush than we had expected. The provisions laid on as the included breakfast were much more impressive than we had expected and the staff in the connected pub/eatery were very welcoming and friendly.»

«Greeted on arrival and all was explained as I was shown to my room. The room and bathroom were clean. Bedside lamp had USB points which was convenient. Breakfast was simple although three out of the six tables had not been cleared after guests that had been and gone by 9:00 - in fact I didn't see any staff at all in the morning before I left at 10:00 although it had been explained that I could simply leave in the morning with no checkout required.»

«Seemed a bit busy/disorganised during the booking and payment process so I was a little worried but it seemed this was due to a change of management and all was fine. If fact, they were very helpful in amending our booking and carrying luggage etc. The room was quaint and quirky, quite quiet and comfortable.»

«The Barleycorn is situated in the middle of a village, and it was lovely to listen to the wood pigeons burbling/cooing through the window. The rooms are not above the pub, but behind, and consequently quiet; ours was nicely furnished and the bed/mattress comfy. The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming. The main disadvantage to the location concerns traffic, such as Macdonald's lorries, that seems to race along the road: it makes finding somewhere to safely walk the dogs a little ...

«A particularly nice welcome. A very well appointed en suite facility. A good sized and comfortable bed - very thoughtful and good quality ancillary furniture in the room. Very good breakfast. You can easily see why Rafters was awarded a 5 Star AA rating in 2023 - well done Sigrid!! Would make Rafters my first choice if I needed to stay in this area again. Peter May.»

«Beautiful little place, Ideally located near to shops,pubs,restaurants,etc. The flat is small but just right for a couple with perhaps one child It was clean throughout and well equipped with wahing machine, fridge,Microwave and cooker. The only tging we would say it needs are slightly better heaters, although they do just about heat tje propert to a bearable temp»

«Very comfortable beds, but seating in room was poor. No facilities in room. TV was communal in small communal dining area. Bathroom was down corridor from bedroom. Bedroom had no lock when leaving it. Communal kitchen had very limited crockery or cutlery. Eating options in Pewsey are limited. Breakfast was excellent. Owner friendly and helpful.»

«We enjoyed a great stay at Elderbrooke House, beeing well cared for by Cody and Ben, and greeted by their beautifull dog Maia. The four of us had the Robin suite, a large and luxurious room with a bathroom almost the same size. The kids had their own room, also nice. Attentive and caring, we had the best service imaginable. Dinner reservations at local place was made well in advance. Breakfast was easily the best we had on our week long journey in England. We ordered from the menu Full english, ...

«Very well-appointed accommodation; immaculately clean and comfortable for 4 persons especially family or couples. The bathroom with the tub, unfortunately, did not have a shower curtain or any way water could be prevented from splashing on the floor which created a compulsory cleaning up of the too much water on the floor after bathing. I thougt it was an oversight but it created unintended inconvenience, besides making the foot/floor bathroom towel too wet too soon. This should be an easy fix ...

«Location was great and right in the centre of Newbury. Apartment was equipped with everything needed for a stay away from home. The room was uncomfortably hot and the small amount the windows opened and fan were no use. Our shower was totally blocked but it was sorted. Cleanliness of the apartment was not to my standard. »

«Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions.»
