«Lovely property and lovely staff at pub. Great food and drink and very friendly service. Amazing value stay. Unfortunately heavy rain the night we stayed led to some leaks in property and bubbling drains in early hours of morning which hopefully can be fixed soon. Bad luck for us but otherwise would have been great.»

«Bramwood cottages are beautiful and located in a fantastic central location, close to everything in the town which we loved. We did book the Tack Room cottage, but on arrival we had been moved to the Coach House without any explanation resulting in us trying to access the Tack Room with the entry code we were given when someone else was staying there, which was quite embarrassing. The cottage itself was beautiful, and had everything you could possibly need, but we found comfort to be lacking. ...

«Honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed in. We wanted a simple cottage that accommodates a dog & was quiet and relaxing. Swallow Cottage is unbelievable! The cottage itself is so warm & cosy, the hospitality was incredible & there’s even a dog paddock section at the rear for the dog to run around in. The host is absolutely lovely & you can tell a lot of care & attention has gone into this cottage. The location of the cottage is roughly 20 mins from Harrogate & 20 mins from Knaresborough. ...

«This was our second stay here for the three of us plus dog. Located near the castle and overlooking the railway, it’s ideally placed. Town is a two minute walk and, although parking is a street away, there was always free spaces. You’ll need reversing skills to get to the property to unload, as the house is on a narrow one way road, with no parking. The property is ideal for four, with two bathrooms and a decent sized kitchen/dining/living area. Happy to say, we’ll look for the property the next ...

«We had a fantastic stay, the cottage was everything we needed and more! The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and the cottage was so peaceful but also handy for exploring York and the surrounding area. Communication from the owners was brilliant and whilst we didn’t need anything, it was nice to know they were near if we did. «This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area.»

«It was very clean, spacious, and modern accommodation with crispy clean beddings and comfortable beds. There was a small but sufficient kitchen with a fridge, hobs, all utensils, cookware etc. There was free tea and coffee available, TV, board games. Safe, free parking was helpful. I travel a lot and I have never given 10 out of 10 to any accommodation before, but I am happy to do it now.»
