«I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. «Stayed for four nights, nice site very quiet and peaceful with a small bar restaurant and shop. The cabin was great very big and spacious and everything you’ll need for your stay. The small bar was good we didn’t eat there so can’t comment but the meals looked good. Was very busy on the Saturday couldn’t get a table but I’d rather see it busy than dead. Would definitely return »

«I could live here! The lodge was close to the entrance, but in a cul de sac, so felt really secluded. Used the hot tub daily, the water was checked twice daily, so felt very confident it was clean and safe. The food in the restaurant was excellent and had a superb Sunday lunch. «When we arrived, the lodge was spotlessly clean. It’s in a perfect location with wonderful views all around. Me and my wife would just sit and watch the horses trot by and the Red Kites loop around the sky. The Hot Blast trail is a great way to burn a few calories after breakfast and gives even better views from up around Neilson’s monument. We will definitely be back.»

«Wow what a find! This property is wonderful, it really is a bargain price compared to others, perfect location with so much to do in the surrounding areas. The lodge is cleaned to the highest of standards and so homely and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Prior to arrival Louise was great with her communication and on arrival everything was perfect and the guest book was so useful with loads of suggestions for things to do. We had the most wonderful holiday, definitely booking again.»

«We had a good week at the property, it is a bit remote and shopping for food best done before you arrive at property or in larger village shops! Lovely gardens and beach for the kids, a bit rocky but kids loved looking in rock pools. The accommodation itself was spotless, very well stocked with kitchen equipment and appliances, we had the two cottages which made up the stables, so 2 kitchen and lounge areas, we tended to use the larger kitchen for eating and the smaller cottage lounge as it was ...
