«The Castle House is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous, including a wonderful tub for a relaxing bath and a huge, comfortable, fancy bed. Breakfast was delicious and packed lunches were available for us C2C hikers. Our only small gripe was that the hosts were not available in the evening to help us with laundry, but I would still recommend staying here!»

«Hyggelig betjening, god seng og god frokost!»

«Rommet ble ikke rengjort til tross for at vi bodde over flere døgn. Det var ikke såpe i såpedispensere på badet. Ble oppgitt at vi hadde bord til frokost kl 09.00, når vi møtte opp til frokost hadde de ryddet og avsluttet og vi fikk en frekk beskjed fra ansatte om at det var stengt og at de allerede hadde jobbet i mange timer, og viste ingen forståelse for misforståelse rundt frokosttider. »

«Well presented with table service very nice»

«A charming, clean and well kept property. Very comfortable bed and superb breakfast. A warm welcome, helpful and friendly owners.»

«Food was excellent and was in a very scenic part of North yorkshire»

«Great location»

«Very nice, big room. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Lovely pub. Great cooked breakfast. Friendly, good value for money.»

«Good location with excellent views, unfortunately room was very basic and smelt damp. The shower was poor and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Continental breakfast in October??? Over priced stay for basic amenities.»

«Really great stay, room was large warm and comfortable. Restaurant food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful»

«This is superb quirky hotel/pub to stay at. food very high end / good description is Michelin star without being nominated! Each room has a different different theme - all very quirky with ‘surprises’ to match theme. Everyone we spoke to were return visitors - this is THE place to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. Higher end price bracket but worth it - they do have mid week offers.will definitely return»

«Location is lovely quiet and picturesque. We were at a wedding close by so only needed the hotel to sleep at, the hotel is a bit in need of a re-furb but very nice staff and the room was fresh and comfortable. The room was clean, bedding and bed were comfortable we did not eat as arrived at 3 dropped bags and headed to wedding.left at 8 in morning Would stay again as we both said apart from corridors and general impression it was a nice nights sleep Plenty parking and nice area for a morning ...

«Ble møtt av veldig hyggelig personale ved innsjekk. Stedet er pent og behagelig pusset opp. God mat og hyggelig stemning i puben. Bra utgangspunkt for turer.»
