«We hebben een hele fijne week gehad in een comfortabel en sfeervol huis. Royaal verblijf op groot perceel grond, prachtige bosrijke en zeer rustige omgeving. Douro ligt ongeveer 500 meter lager, vanuit huis niet zichtbaar. Van zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, omdat het een behoorlijk stuk afdalen en klimmen was. Dourovallei is prachtig. Veel moois in de omgeving te zien. Auto is een must.»

«Everything was as advertised ,clean and functional. The host went out of her way to make sure that my experience was first class and it was. A big shout out to her neighbor who pitch hit for her When she hurt her leg. It’s very close to the train station maybe five minutes by car and it made the right into Douro very very easy.»

«We spent a lovely week at Casa do Vimieiro. We were 2 couples, and the house was spacious comfortable, and clean. Susana responded to queries very promptly. The countryside is beautiful. My only caution is that driving in the area is not for the faint of heart. Also, people with mobility issues should avoid the house as there are many stairs and uneven steps going into the property. «Our family spent a week at this property and we cannot say enough good things about it. The house itself was spotlessly clean, the pool and view was amazing and the house, including the kitchen, fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There was lots of room for everyone in our group and each bedroom having its own bathroom was a big plus. We didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay and would not hesitate to return again!»

«We found the house easily. We loved the location. Lamego was close by with grocery stores, shopping and some lovely cultural sights. We were able to get to other places we wanted to see (Braga, Regua, Viseu) easily also. The kitchen was nicely equipped. We love to cook on vacation and this kitchen had all we needed. We ran out of gas one night and the host responded quickly and had someone at the house to change it within a half hour. Couple things to note - the listing says spa tub but there ...

"Fantastisk liten oase med appelsintrær, roser, lavendel og papegøyeblst. I tillegg er det katter og fugler på eiendommen. Vert og vertinne en utrolig serviceinnstilte og hjalp til med booking av restaurant og serverdigheter i området. "
