«We were excited to stay at the Blue Star motel for the first time! We’ve always stayed right in town normally and this was a change for us. Our room was absolutely beautiful, so quaint, very clean and very comfortable. Loved the back deck area with pavilion and plenty of space to stretch out. The location was ideal as we could avoid the chaos in downtown Saugatuck and opt for other places to try for shopping and for eating. The Blue Star cafe was delicious! «This property is nicely located and is reasonably clean. While there have been some recent updates, the hotel is showing its age and is need of a more extensive renovation. Furniture in the rooms were beat up. Both drains (bathroom sink & kitchenette sink) were completely clogged. I reported the maintenance issue to staff on the first day of my visit. It was never corrected. The studio suite isn't worth the extra money. The kitchenette contained no kitchenware or silverware. There was no ...
