Westwood House is a real gem! Such a warm welcome from Karl, felt at home immediately. It's really central and my room was fantastic, with a little area to do my work which was separate to the sleeping area. Really comfortable bed with good linen and all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was just amazing. Huge choice and everything I tried was plentiful, of the best quality and beautifully cooked. I was sad to leave and would love to go back.

We were in Dorchester for two days to explore Thomas Hardy country. Westwood Guest House was an excellent small inn that fit our needs perfectly. We especially liked the excellent breakfasts at the inn and the friendliness of Tom the proprietor.

Westwood House is on the High Street in Dorchester, ideally located for everything in the town. We were met by the owner Karl on arrival and offered an upgrade and given the suite on the top floor. Karl and Jocelyn are very friendly and happy to offer suggestions for restaurants and place's to visit in the area. Our room was very clean and comfortable and seemed to be newly decorated. The breakfasts are great, lovely local produce served by the hosts in a large, bright conservatory. We would happily return.

Great location
excellent hosts friendly, helpful, non intrusive but very responsive to request for help and advice. - location is fantastic with museums castle roman house all very short walk away. public car park v close. generous and well prepared breakfast. close to pubs and restaurants Room clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well very fair price - would return should i stay in Dorchester again

Great place to stay. Top floor room was very cold despite radiators being at 100%. Great service and wonderful breakfast.

Fabulous stay
Fantastic place to stay, rooms were big and comfortable, breakfast was outstanding. Definitely go with Karl and Jocelyn’s recommendations for eating out we had two fabulous meals and visited the Roman house.

Really well located guest house in Dorchester. Handy for the high street and main town. My room (1) was spacious, really well decorated and very comfortable. Karl and Jocelyn were great hosts, really friendly, helpful and a super breakfast.

Great, cozy place in Dorchestet. Good for vegans!
The couple that runs the place are the nicest people! Were fun talking to over breakfast, and took really good care of me as a vegan. Room was great, very specious and feels like home. Good bed, big closet, nice shower, well-equipped bathroom, well-stocked hot drink station. Place is within a walking distance of all main attractions and train stations. Would stay again!

What a gem! Nestled near the top of the road running through Dorchester, Westwood is easy to find and get to. We were greeted by Karl and Midas (their gorgeous dog), who showed us to our room; he was super friendly and ensured that we had everything we need. Having fresh milk and cold water in the room was great. The room was immaculate, quiet, and comfy. Jocelyn made an impeccable breakfast in the morning with first-rate coffee, fluffy pancakes and fantastic porridge. My only regret is that we only got to stay for one night! Thanks for the wonderful stay.

You really cant fault this beautiful Guest House. Such a friendly and welcoming couple that go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one. Loved the crushed Avocado's and poached eggs for breakfast. lovely touch

The Westwood 🏠 is on high street close to all amenities. Very helpful owners. Tom gave us information on the surrounding area, and a great suggestion on a fabulous restaurant only 2 blocks away. The breakfast was delicious, so many options. Every thing was in walking distance. The room had lots of light and a comfortable bed. Thanks for a great time. D&D.

A wonderful place to stay.
Westwood House was a wonderful place to stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, a lovely big bathroom and all the extras you need such as nice shampoos and soaps etc. The host, Tom, was very lovely and extremely helpful. The breakfast was nice in the conservatory and overall I would love to stay here again.

Classic, cute, traditional British B&B!
Really lovely, classic British B&B, right in the heart of beautiful Dorchester. The perfect base from which to explore the town and local sights - fantasticly helpful and accomodating staff, especially the 'supervisor' - the super friendly and inquisitive hotel dog! Highly recommended!

We stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding. Convenient location to where the wedding was in the town. Central location in Dorchester town, shops and restaurants walking distance. Friendly couple Tom & Melz own and run it. Quick check in and out. Very comfortable room and bed, good ensuite, all the extras needed like fridge, hairdryer, internet. Lovely breakfast, choice of cereals, toast, fruit, menu of cooked choices, full English, eggs benedict etc. Would recommend and stay again.

Wonderful 3-night stay in this very central B&B. Warm welcome, very comfortable room and bed, very clean, and with everything we wanted. We had a room at the front of the house overlooking the road, but were not bothered by noise at all. Breakfast was great, I’m just sorry I can’t eat more early in the mornings, and missed the chance to try everything. What I did have was beautifully cooked and very tasty. We would happily come again, and recommend to others.
