New Year’s Eve at the Greyhound
Great place to stay. Beautiful Dorset village pub. Lovely cosy atmosphere, tasty food and excellent service. Very dog friendly. Hearty breakfast with particularly yummy sausages.

Lovely old pub with very attractive rooms. Beautiful area...exquisite village surrounded by wonderful countryside. My room was in need of some updating. We weren't shown to rooms on arrival but staff were friendly. My chicken dish was excellent.

Bad room, great food
Don’t ever write reviews but felt I had to here. Room felt very unclean and smelled horrible. This was a mixture of dog and damp from the mould that is all over the bathroom floor. Wifi was non existent. On the positive side the restaurant is lovely, the food was very good. The care of the room let’s the place down.

Off the beaten track but not remote
Lovely clean room in the stables across the car park from the inn. Brilliant friendly service, with decent meal choice and an excellent breakfast. Couldn't recommend this more.

Very poor customer service. Very much a local pub to the fact that they were always served first. No food available that night. Was only informed that there would not be a normal menu. Was not told there would be no food.

A one nighter
Charming staff. Exquisite food - we had lunch and breakfast. Nice room although the tv was very small and the bed a bit creaky but comfortable.

This was a lovely find! We planned a last minute trip to do some walks in the area. This place was perfect for us - the room was basic but clean and really comfortable, the staff were all friendly, it’s a lovely location and the food is excellent. We’d definitely go again.

Overnight Stay
The one night stay was good. The owner was very apologetic that the pub & restaurant was closed, however all i needed was a room to get my head down so it definitely served its purpose. I will probably stay again when working in the area and hopefully the restaurant will be open and i can have breakfast!

Excellent service, rooms a little tired
Couldn’t fault the service and communication of the staff. This was excellent. The breakfast was excellent too. However, the rooms are a little tired and cleanliness wasn’t at its best. There were cobwebs and spiders/flies squashed into the blinds, one of which was broken. Overall, a very friendly and comfortable stay. Just need to spruce up the rooms a little and make sure that they have a deeper clean.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We thought we might be late for check in so they called us to make arrangements and let us know when there would be someone there. There was a nice range of toiletries in the bathroom and the hospitality tray held a good selection of teas & coffee. Our evening meals and breakfast were very good. There were a few cobwebs on the ceilings.

Location for me was good, previous 2 years were very good... but... this visit was very disappointing! Staff were quite rude to be honest... no help what so ever. Room was very "musty" and damp feeling.. advise on customer service.. welcome your guest and open windows of room to air! Food menu lacked choice... no kids menu.. no pub food.. 2 families left when i was where and said they would find somewhere better! I checked out early as no food on a sunday evening!

We had a few nice days away, the staff were very friendly, the food was really good but the room are a little tired and need updating also there was no wifi in the rooms.

Excellent food and service!
Two main things set this stay above most of my business trips… the food and the staff. Amazing meals with amazing friendly service! The quality of the room I stayed in wasn’t quite as high, but it was comfortable and did the job. A little small, but I know larger rooms are available (just not within my business budget unfortunately). A couple of minor issues could be resolved, like the shower head not staying at the right height and a lack of plug sockets etc, but I would happily return. And the village and surrounding area is stunning!

Excellent large clean room. Has a sitting area which isn’t always available in hotel rooms. Large comfortable bed. Convenient for shops (on doorstep) and seaside (couple of miles). Can eat in hotel- usual value for money food- or in local restaurants. Tea and coffee in room. Oat milk provided in room as well as standard milk. Downside no biscuits on tea tray!!!
