«Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. »

«We arrived to find the room we had booked on the first floor had been trashed the night before and the only available room was on the second floor . The problem for us was my husband is recovering from hospital so the extra stairs didn't help. That said the staff were amazing and did all they could to help us and although it was a smaller room it was lovely. We had several meals in the hotel which were very good and would recommend The White Lion Royal.»

«Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful village setting. The rooms are fairly small but clean, cozy and looks recently renovated. Well appointed with all the things you need. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with tea, coffee, juices and cereal also available. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This is apparently a community owned pub/B&B owned by the village, so deserves to be well supported. Top marks from me, and thoroughly recommended!»
