Plus points were a large clean room, a few minutes walk to the airport, and the restaurant was a nice environment with very good food (much better than the last airport hotel we stayed in). We heard a lot of noise from the corridor during the night, so not as soundproofed from that side as it could have been. Reception staff sent us on a very long way round to our room, yet there was a much quicker way. We’d stay here again if flying from East Midlands.

Ideal for what we wanted
It’s in a perfect location on the doorstep of East Midlands Airport, 5 min walk to the terminal. Been before. It’s not perfect by any means, staff friendly and my only issue was a broken tap in the bathroom, still operable but as a standard should not of been let out til fixed. Would I stay again? Yes

NIce Airport Hotel
firstly there is no lift and being a pensioner with heavy bags that not good? but staff were very helpful and offered their help to get bags up and down stairs the hotel was nice and had been revamped the pool area was a complete letdown the pool is like a children's pool I had to ask the staff to restock the wet bags soap and shampoo in the changing rooms as all empty also I made a note to tell the staff that the filter in the bottom of the pool cover ( size of the large dinner plate ) was not secure and you could get it to float away exposing the workings this was very unsafe were children were playing and the pool should not have been open to public until the repair had been made. they made a note of my comments i only hope the made the repair

Great stay
Absolutely lovey friendly staff. We were very tried on arrival but soon perked up after a fabulous welcome from your excellent bar man. It was New Year’s Eve and your manger gave us lo lovely glass of fizz. The bed was comfortable, and the shower just right. Thanks to all. You did a brilliant job!

Stayed at this hotel a few times now but not sure if we will stay again. All was well until around 8.30 pm when the family next door to our room arrived. The screaming, shouting (from both parents and children ) and crying was ridiculous and went on until after 10.00 pm.when we had to request another room so we could get some sleep for an early flight We had been put into an interconnecting room with the family making the noise even worse despite the family being well known to the hotel staff and in their words 'use the hotel regularly ' this coming to light when I complained. I understand 10pm isnt late but bearing in mind this is an airport hotel and many guests are there overnight for early morning flights I think a bit more thought about room allocation wouldnt go amiss.

We try our upmost to allocate guests rooms according to their nature of their visit and are mindful of guests who are going on holiday due to our location. It was the first time that I and my husband had stayed at the Leonardo Hotel, East Midlands Airport. We had a good overnight stay before flying on holiday the next day and even had some friends join us for a drink in the evening. We liked the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel's bar areas. We also liked the fact that, having used our airline's 'twilight' check in service for our main luggage, we were able to walk up to the airport departures area with just our hand luggage on the morning of our flight. We would certainly stay at this hotel again when going on holiday.
