«The hotel is modern and stylish, and very clean. It´s within walking distance from downtown, but secluded enough to feel very tranquil and safe. Parking was easy, and staff was friendly. The pool is not huge, and could do with a couple of extra sun beds, but it´s beautiful and inviting. Would stay again!»

«Room was clean. Housekeeping came every day and change our towels and fix our beds. Very convenient to have the restaurant close to the Hotel rooms. Breakfast is served and you can eat lunch and dinner there also. Food is good . »

«This is my second time in Tortuguero but my first at Mawamba. I’d seen the beautiful grounds before and wanted to experience it in person, This is a nature lovers paradise! The grounds are beautifully maintained with native plants, lots of walking trails which are inviting to so much wildlife including toucans, orenpendula, parrots, macaws, red eyed tree frogs and so much more. Tortuguero National Park is a short walk away and I went there often. But I love the tours that Mawamba offers, ...

«Thw terrasse with river side view was very nice and big so you always could sit there. The hotel was central with just a few walking minutes to restaurants and national park 👍 The tours that the hotel provided was very good, we saw turtles and went on a morning boat trip, both I will recommend 😀 Stay away from the street view rooms if you are a light sleeper, the beds were hard and well worn... due to the locations, you should expect insects and bugs in the room over night.»

«The jungle courtyard with so many exotic animals was a bonus. Marise the owner gives everyone a tour to start. Clean, spacious, lots of towels, bag of the best CR Coffee, AC, fans, dishes, toaster, BBQ, burner and pots by pool area.very kind owners. Restaurants very close and good selection of dishes. 1.6 km to bus station and town.»
