«This is one of the few places to stay in the ferry port of Stromness, Mainland Orkney. The staff (and pretty much everyone on the island) are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well-located close to the ferry to mainland Scotland. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is marvelous! «The accommodation was fine. Perfectly adequate. What was annoying is that my debit card was charged an additional amount, above the Expedia price, on the day I arrived. I pointed this out and as told it was a mistake and it would be refunded. It still hasn't been, 6 weeks later, and my emails/telephone calls go unanswered. Not good, Polochar Inn. Not good. »

«Noisy location right near the plaza made worse by a food truck that pulled up at midnight. Room was small but fine except for the noisiness. Breakfast was ok. Hotel itself was beautifully presented. If it werent for the noisy people in the plaza the spot is perfect.»

«We loved our stay here. The picture window looking over the water was beautiful. The cabin was wonderfully simple and yet held all we needed. I had tried to book it for 4 nights but it was only available for 2 when we were there. I would have gladly booked it for all 4 and if we ever return to Skye we will definitely look ahead of time to book all our nights here again. Loved its eco friendliness as well! »

«What a great find. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. We stayed in one of the Cabins and it was prefect. Cabin had all the amenities one would for their stay. There is a wonderful restaurant, The Sprig, on property and the food was outstanding. Within a very short walk we found The Coffee Bothy which is a great place to grab coffee and breakfast. »

«We loved our stay and would absolutely recommend Princes Point Villa! The location is perfect for an Isle of Skye road trip. The scenery is fantastic, with a sweeping view of the sea across a beautiful pasture. The apartment was clean and well appointed with a fabulous farm style kitchen.
