«The view from this room was really pretty overlooking the lake. It is just up the hill from the train station and the town so easily walkable. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the host was very communicative. We were able to drop our luggage off at a sister property as we arrived earlier than the 2 o’clock check-in and didn’t want to tote everything up and down the hills. The balconies were an added bonus.»

«This is a very nicely appointed suite with a complete kitchen just steps from the ferry landings. The check in process is Byzantine with a blizzard of videos but ultimately the process went very smoothly and the host was responsive. Our suite “the queen” was a serious climb up- a total of 70 steps from street level, so probably not a great choice for elderly travelers or people in poor physical condition.»

«The location couldn’t have been better. Literally 5 minute walk to everything. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. The only reason I did not give perfect score was the AC was not that great. Especially in the master bedroom we were very uncomfortable all night with the AC set at the lowest. Also, it wasn’t an issue for me, but several in the family were not thrilled about all of the stairs to get up to the unit.»

17. Residenza Wega

«Perfect Location, Location, Location. We could hear the concerts at the Colosseum from the window. Close to everything and safe walking distance to train station. Just under 1 mile. It was faster to walk then wait in the long line at the train depot for a taxi. Newly remodeled, with only minor items showing wear. Newly renovated building so elevator is new and only used by I am assuming less than 10 rooms. I know it sounds dumb to note but there are plenty of really nice hotels in Italy that ...
