Room fine although ensuite, particularly the shower cubicle, needs an upgrade. General decor contemporary with great prints on the walls! Sea view from room. Evening meal and breakfast were good.

Beautiful decor and great food choices for dinner and breakfast. Noisy in the room from the bar downstairs but mainly from the room above, kids jumping off the beds?!

A great location. A lovely sized and well decorated room. The bar area and restaurant area were really well decorated and themed . I loved the multi coloured chesterfield sofa and chair as you entered. Staff were great and very friendly/ welcoming to us and our dog. The only criticism would be that the bathroom was very dated and was in need of a deep clean rather than an end of stay clean, more down to its age than a hygiene issue. We will happily come back again. A short walk from the beach for a great sunny day winter walk and a 5 minute drive into Cromer if that is want you want.

Great hotel, clean friendly, room good, no glasses for bathroom & too cold to use bath even with heating on in room 15. Mystery door in room with small bolt lock & weird combination lock, bit disconcerting. Friendly & def go back. Breakfst very good quality, bread in packet still so everyone putting their hands in & out not great, bread with tongs please!!

Although we had a great stay , whilst having a shower in our room , i stopped some black bits on the floor of the shower tray , after investigation, i discovered it was coming from the bottom runners of the shower doors , it was being washed out by water running down the door . Maybe in need of a good clean out ?

Well done Dormy House.
We've never stayed at a hotel where the staff can't do enough to make your stay so enjoyable. The full English breakfast is superb, you don't need to worry about lunch! As for dinner, the large pie is to die for.

A very nice weekend away
We just got back last weekend from a 2-night stay at the Dormy which we enjoyed. The location is good - a sea view and not too far a walk to the beach. Easy parking behind the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and we slept well. We had the fabulous full English breakfast (chosen from a menu with lots of choice) both days and it really hit the spot and set us up for the day until dinner. We had dinner one night at the hotel - fish and chips; Norfolk ham, egg and chips; and a fruit crumble with custard - it was good honest food and the portions were big. The carvery looked really good but we ran out of time to try it (next time!). We had our dog with us throughout the stay - including eating breakfast and dinner in the bar area - she was welcomed by all the staff we met and she was also pleased to see more than a few other doggie friends enjoying the hotel!

The hotel was very clean and the decor was good. The check in was quick and easy and all the staff were very friendly. The breakfasts and the meals at night were very good. From the hotel you could get buses to Cromer and Sheringham. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location for Cromer and North Norfolk area. Good service and friendly with a convenient restaurant for all day dining. Comfortable room. We liked the orange hare and blue elephant!

Attic bedroom stairs difficult no hot water. Not told about events taking place, priority given to those attending. Meals chaotic as only the bar available, very poor service. Breakfast foodstuff and drinks not replenished.

This was a lovely pub/B&B with a very comfy, large double bed in our room from which we could see the sea; & lovey large towels in the bathroom. The food is excellent - so tasty - and the staff all very friendly & hepful. We would highly recommend it

Not bad but needs work.
Great location and views. Clearly, a lot of work has been and is still going on to improve the site. It however seems like jobs have been started but not finished. The bathroom looked new but no locks and no hooks. Finishing around the decor was terrible with gaps and holes around coving. The door strip for the carpet was poorly fitted so there were gaps with sharp bits sticking up. Staff were friendly and helpful but also very unprofessional at times. Breakfast was average at best, even though a chef was promoting how great his breakfast would be at the bar the night before. The table next to us had an omelette that looked like a greasy burnt frisbee. And you really don't need to garnish everything with a handful of pea shoots. There were several staff at the bar one evening. Some working, some not, but they seemed more content chatting than serving. This could be a great place, but at the moment it's lacking in a few areas and therefore a bit overpriced.

Pretty Room
Great communication. Really lovely room with a small balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. We had the carvery on our last night and it was delicious. Would love to stay here again.

Ideal place for a one night stop, although it is looking a bit tired it was very clean and tidy and the staff were very courteous. The food that we had was also very good. These comments would not necessarily stop us from staying there again.
