I’m truly upset with our stay. I normally don’t complain and stay to myself but this was unacceptable.
I had called to change my room from a king to a double double a month before our stay, we were assured of the change. Upon arrival today we found out that the change was not made and had to fit 3 adults and 2 dogs in what is not advertised as their king rooms. When entering our room our noses were filled with the strong smell of bleach, it was extremely overpowering and nauseating; our eyes were burning. Not only is that unsafe for our dogs but 2/3 of us are allergic to bleach. Obviously we understand the importance of cleaning everything and we understand that bleach can and will most likely be used, but to use that much to the point no one could breath is unacceptable, we had to air the room out for an hour before we could comfortably breathe and stay in the room. When going to the front desk to advise of the issue, the front desk lady seemed almost annoyed and not very helpful. I had requested our rooms to not be cleaned until we leave to avoid any further issues.
My friend had gone up to ask some questions and the same front desk lady immediately rolled her eyes and was frustrated with her questions. Completely unprofessional.
I can happily say that we will not be returning.
