Awesome House

This house was perfect for our family. Close to restaurants, highway and attractions. The basement with the pool table was awesome. The kids really enjoyed playing games at night. The back porch is adorable and very private. We loved having our coffee sitting there. The walking path behind the house is really a nice one. We had a lot or room for the whole family and we could have invited friends. If we ever return to Colorado Springs I would love to stay in this house again for sure.

Very Nice Experience, Lovely Patio

Two adult couples stayed at this property for ten days. We had an overall good experience. House is spacious with very nice patio. Kitchen is fully stock with quality pots and pans. Nice t.v. room with pool table and dart board. Nice peaceful neighbor with close by Costco and Safeway.

Beautiful home & great location

This house is amazing! There is so much room for the entire family to enjoy. We were a family of 8, and we had more than enough space. The check in process is extremely easy. The house was clean, beautiful and had a great view. It was such a pleasure to see the deer everyday along with the beautiful Mountain View. The area was safe and the trail behind the house is very beautiful and convenient. There are many places to eat around here & we even had groceries delivered to the house. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future. Nothing but great things to say!

Great Location

My family stayed at this house for about 5 days in July 2020. We had a house booked with Air Bnb and the host cancelled on us 3 weeks before our trip. Thankfully we found this house and it ended up being the perfect fit for us. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The owners and the property manager were all very pleasant and ensured that we made it in. The location of this house is ideal for anyone wanting to get out and see some major landmarks in the area. It is very close to the Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. The house has a trail that runs right beside it. This trail leads to a playground which is so nice if you have little kids. We highly recommend this house!

Perfect gathering place

Our family all met here from various locations and enjoyed this home very much. The pool table and dress-up clothes were well-used. Also the nice collection of games. The kitchen was well-stocked, and there were plenty of places to sit while dining in (we had 8 adults and 7 children). It is convenient to all of the sights of Colorado Springs. The back-yard is private and pretty with lots of trees. We even had our professional family picture taken here. Most of the beds were comfortable except for the one queen upstairs, which was too hard. I would recommend the owner get a memory foam pillowtop. The three floors make the home seem larger than it is, as there are plenty of places to play and tuck away for a nap. We had a couple of little issues come up, but the property manager was right on them. We would definitely book it again.

Somewhat nice propery spoiled by added surprise fees

1 month prior to arrival, a surprise bill comes from the owners. They claimed it as a fee to recover what VRBO charges them. I contacted VRBO and they assured me this was not an appropriate fee and the owners should refund it to me immediately. Never saw that refund, used as leverage as it was a 0% refund cancellation policy. Basement was listed as finished but had roughed in carpet, creating tripping hazards everywhere. Property manager had to tell us there was flooding. No reduced price for reduced quality from what was advertised. Washer kept leaking everywhere. A/c stopped working, property manager responded and came while we weren't there. Warning: 1 week stay only 2 rolls of tp per bathroom, no matter how many people pay to stay. Another surprise fee, they claimed we broke their sliding doors, but the doors had wood in the sliding doors for use instead of the locks. They thought to put the bill on us to make the repair. Also claimed we stole their micro usb cord and charged 12 times the cost for a replacement. I asked for the itemized receipt, and have yet to see it. Nice house, but not worth dealing with these kinds of people. At the price they are charging they should be waaaaay more accommodating not nickle and diming their patrons. Will definitely NEVER stay at this house again. Caution, they are playing monopoly as they own and are aquiring multiple properties in the same neighborhood. Avoid, stay in Manitou Springs instead, only a short drive away and closer to a lot more hiking trails.

Home Away From Home

This house was perfect! We had a large family group meeting in Colorado from Indiana & Texas & this house was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. The rooms were comfortable. There was space upstairs for quiet hang out & card games & a large game room with TV downstairs where the kids could play & watch movies. The house is also located very close to many tourist locations. If we ever meet in Colorado Springs again & need a home with space, this house will be the first on our list!

PERFECT FOR OUR LARGE GATHERING!

After driving almost 12 hours and arriving at this most beautiful home was so exciting. We had plenty of room to move about and all the kids had made home in the downstairs gameroom. The house had everything we needed! I was even able to schedule a Walmart grocery delivery order for when we arrived and have everything we needed minus a few little pick ups! The deer and beautiful birds surrounding the neighborhood was so amazingly peaceful! It was so nice to come back from our outings everyday to be able to gather, cook, take hot showers and sleep in some very comfortable beds ! I would highly recommend this property to anyone !! BEST TIME EVER!!

Ideal

We stayed here for our son’s “graduation week” when he graduated from the Air Force Academy. It is ideally located for easy access to USAFA, as well as many restaurants and attractions in Colorado Springs. We had three couples and 3 singles which worked out great, room and bed-wise. The house is very nicely equipped and comfortable; my teens/young adults loved the pool table, and the easy access to trails wandering thru the area; the kitchen is not just functional, it is bountifully supplied with tools and dishes, and very easy to work in. Owners and their local “caretaker” were prompt with info and assistance. I’m so glad we rented this home: it was a peaceful haven and had plenty of room for the hanging out we wanted to do, games for those so inclined, outdoors right out the door... for us it was ideal.

Awesome

I love this home. Every thing available there. All staff are nicely clean and organize. We enjoyed snooker game. Honor of this house is very nice and humble. We made plan last month but some reason one of our family member was hospitalze. We request to property honor. He gave me new date. I really appreciate that. Over all my experience was positive. If I got chance next visit will be same house.

Perfect home for our multi-family vacation

We had an amazing time in Colorado. You wouldn't imagine how many laughs and memories we'll be able to cherish forever. The home was beautiful and very spacious to accommodate all 15 of us. We plan to visit Colorado in the future and hope to stay in this home again.

Can't get much better than this!

We had 4 Air Force Academy families stay here for Parent's Weekend with room for all of us and our cadets. We loved having plenty of bathrooms, comfy beds, great deck next to open space (soooo many deer). One member of our group has attended parents weekend or graduation over 7 times and said this is the best house by far! They loved that the house was set up for someone to live in and had dressers in every bedroom and huge washer and dryer, and so close to the Acadamy. We had access to a cooler in the garage and plenty of seating room for a few other cadets and parents to come over for a BBQ. The hosts were so accommodating and the manager is right across the street if you have any questions. Yes, they increase the price for Parents Weekend and Graduation, but so does everyone including the hotels. Considering that we split it 4 ways and could all be together and have a kitchen and didn't have to go out for meals it was cheaper than anything except a grungy hotel much further away - well worth the cost!

This house is fantastic.

This home was everything it was billed to be and more. The home is in a nice quiet neighborhood just as you start up the mountains of Colorado Springs. I went for a walk the 1st morning and ran into deer standing in one of the neighbor's front yards. Deer in this neighborhood are very common as I ran into them every day. The house was great very spacious and with a great deck and a trail that ran behind the house. We had a group of 15 people and had plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The basketball hoop next to the house was a favorite. There were plenty of food and shopping options close by. I would give this house a 5 star rating. We will be coming back to Colorado Springs in 2019 and will be looking to stay here again.

Great Stay with Plenty of Room

We enjoyed staying at the house. There was lots of room and common spaces so that people could spread out and still gather together to talk and play games. The location is ideal, close enough to the major roads and shopping that quick trips were easy. The house had toys for the younger children, so they were always busy doing something and having fun. The nearby trail was also great for walking and running. Overall, a great property to stay at.

Close to USAFA! Comfortable for family time.

We enjoyed our stay while in Colorado for our son's graduation from the Air Force Academy. Plenty of space to relax together. Nice deck and walking path for enjoying the sunshine. House has a well stocked kitchen for cooking meals to save on restaurants.

Very nice house for a large group!

A large group from our CrossFit gym stayed here for 2 nights, while we were in town for the Spartan Race at Ft Carson. The House was great! Very clean, very spacious, stunning backyard/porch, walking path behind the house, wildlife.... gorgeous! I wish I could transplant the house (yard and walking paths) back home. The property manager is very close by and was very responsive by text to any questions I had. Highly recommend for large groups.

Great house and location! (a few minor winter concerns that were addressed)

I've stayed in this house a couple times and it has a lot of things going for it (deck and patio, pool table/ping pong table). The home is about 2 minutes from Safeway and 5 from King Soopers. Just past King Soopers is Academy Blvd that has about everything you could be looking for. Deer would frequently be standing in the front yard and you could get within 5 feet of them. Previously, staying in the summer we had no major issues; however, the winter brought a few more that made a few nights somewhat uncomfortable. I would like to stress that both the owner and property manager were 5 stars due to their excellent response times and turnaround time to our concerns once we contacted them. Additionally they were friendly and worked with us when some winter storms hit. The minor concerns we encountered in the winter: the house has one zone for three levels with a controller in the middle level. With that, some upper floor bedrooms were extremely hot while the middle floor (kitchen and family rooms) were comfortable and the basement (with the other sleeping areas) was very cold. Also, with the dry weather in CO and the forced hot air in the home we were all pretty dried up. As I mentioned before, this made things uncomfortable but as soon as we contacted the owner and/or the property manager they had a fixes that helped. There was a space heater in the basement (although the gas fireplace was not working and would have been even better). There was a humidifier in the upstairs (but only one) that helped with the dryness. The humidifier combined with placing some of our suitcases over upstairs heat vents helped even out the uneven forced hot air system in the home. All of these helped but I'm sure minor modifications (another zone and controller on the heat system) would greatly improve the home heating issue. Also, it seemed like the issues and fixes were known issues. I don't know why they were not stressed upon check in (a humidifier in each room or even better a humidifier controller also installed on the HVAC system would be another relatively inexpensive addition). Summary: This house is great and our family loved it to stay together in CO. The winter brought some discomforts that seem like they could be addressed with some minor updates to the home/HVAC. I would definitely want to stay in the home again in the future, but if in the winter would ensure the multi level-one zone issue and humidity issue were discussed.

Great family house!

Spacious, comfortable and a home away from home.

We were in Colorado Springs for Parent's Weekend at USAFA. We brought 9 of our son's friends with so we needed space and lots of beds. This place was perfect! The downstairs had a pool table/ping pong table, TV, mini refrigerator, and ample seating for all of our guests. The kitchen table sat 8 and there was a large deck with several tables and a grill. This was a great location for our visits to USAFA. The owners were amazing to work with and I would recommend this house to anyone who is interested!

Wonderful time

We stayed at your beautiful home when we were in the Springs for a family reunion. We had married couples with several children - all had a very comfortable room to stay. The little ones loved the bunk room, even building a fort in their room before the rest of us woke up. We didn't use the kitchen a lot, because we had a lot of activities planned while we were there, but it was very well stocked for any need. Several of our family walked the trail, right behind the house, and needed to wait for deer! What a thrill! We even had a deer at our front yard. Our only inconvenience were bees. We had quite a few right outside the door. But, that's what you have to contend with when you are in nature! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay and great memories!

Great location for family vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It was conveniently located to Garden of the Gods and Pike’s Peak area. The multi-level floor plan of the house was great for our family of 8 adults and 7 children. It was very comfortable and roomy. We were able to spread out and not be on top of each other. The house was well stocked with lots of amenities; books, games and toys for the kids. We all enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and darts. The little ones enjoyed the Duplos and dress up in the bunk room. The backyard was very quiet and peaceful. We even had a visit from one of the local deer. The only thing we had a problem with was the yellowjackets/wasps that hung out in the greenery in the front. A few of the kids got stung. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. We would recommend this house to others. The Brattons

Beautiful

I stayed here for just over a month and loved every bit of it. The backyard has its own little forest. The HUGE deck overlooking it allows you to watch the deer that come in to forage and also watch the many squirrels running around playing. No deer in the back...well check the front. Beautifully landscaped front yard with a small waterfall and bench. Inside is spacious and easy to gather everyone while still being able to find your own space. Pool table, TVs, and darts are just bonus items to an already great place to stay.

Love the recent updates!

Owners staying in home for first time this year. Just got new carpet in the whole house and are so happy with it! Added a few other new touches and updated all the travel brochures on CO. Rode the Cog Railway, with family and friends, to top of Pikes Peak - hadn't done it in decades and was reminded of how beautiful it is and such a great option to have to visit the nearby Rocky Mountains. After all these years, still so happy to be "home"!
