We were very happy with our lodge everything was dog friendly but still so clean and tidy for our arrival. A few kitchen essentials provided which was very handy and everything you could need cooking and cleaning wise to make self catering straight forward.

We stayed in a wainwright lodge which was superb. Large, spacious, well planned out and nicely furnished. Very clean. Lovely views too. Two well sized bedroom with two large bathrooms. Dishwasher and washing machine. (No dishwasher tablets though!) Just a short drive from Keswick about 15 mins, ideal for exploring the Lakes.Would recommend and will definitely book to stay again!

Everything about it was perfect (especially how equipped the kitchen was - I was doing a lot of cooking!) Very cosy, I would stay again!My main gripe was there was NO HOT TUB?! Despite the listing stating you had your own hot tub - that's pretty bad considering that was the main reason I wanted to stay!You have redeemed yourself with the loveliest host that was Mia who communicated with me to ensure I had a safe trip, we had a laugh and she had a general concern for me when I was leaving (as I was driving back to Sheffield on my own with a dodgy phone!). I tried to leave a tip and she gave it back to me stating that she doesn't do her job for the money. So please give this amazing woman a raise - she was AMAZING!!!!

Excellent lodge. Very spacious and comfortable. Was immaculate and perfect for our arrival. Looked out onto countryside which was a real blessing, especially for aurora shots. We were reluctant to leave and would happily return.

Lodge is spacious and was very clean on arrival.Plenty of room for 4 of us, bedrooms were nice and the beds are very comfortable.Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of food prep space if needed.A couple of things that could be imporved.. , usual lack of coat hangers but you get this everywhere, kitchen knives were blunt to the point of being useless and the TV service needs improving.

Lodge was clean and tidy upon arrival.

Lodge was clean and tidy upon arrival. Sofa did need some cushions as in our last stay we had them but there were none this stay. Table was loose, we fixed the screws and was fine. Beds comfortable and clean. cosy and warm atmosphere and nicely decorated. We will most definitely return.

Once again we had a brilliant stay at Keswick Reach - the weather was superb which made it extra special.We have stayed many times and have already booked again for April 2025.On arrival the internet was 'down' and it was not rectified until the Thursday. The TV system needs replaced - on choosing a channel - a 'weak or no signal' message flashed up. Also why does the news come from the east??? Who is interested in weather reports from Norwich???For my wife and I both former West Cumbrians the venue is an ideal place for visiting the coast and of course the Lakes.

Lovely little holiday!

We really enjoyed our stay! The listing said it had a hot tub but when we arrived it didn’t. I read after that the external company listed it incorrectly. The only down side was the property wasn’t cleaned very well - old used contact lenses around the desk and bedside table and there was hairs on the bathroom shelf. I did a quick clean myself and throughly enjoyed the rest of our week the location was perfect and our lodge was next to the pond which was lovely.

Do NOT book via VRBO!!!!!!

I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. The lodge was on a holiday park and the reception staff advised that this happens at least once a week with either VRBO bookings or another booking site I’m not allowed to name in the review. The holiday park are not the hosts so they cannot assist with compensation. I contacted VRBO whilst there, using up precious birthday celebration time, but they have so far not assisted me. They told me I could a) rebook a different place for the duration of my stay and they would pay the difference (pretty impossible when I'm only away for 2 nights and have an 8 year old with me!), or b) I could rebook the whole trip (but this had to be done prior to the trip so again this was impossible), or c) cancel and use the Host's refund policy (again impossible as I'd just driven for 2 hours with my 8 year old so why on earth would I go home??! Furthermore the Host's refund policy if you cancel on the day is zero refund!!). They have now stopped communicating with me so I will have to contact my bank to assist with a refund hopefully as I paid for a service I did not get. So although the lodge was lovely, VRBO mis-advertised so we did not get what we paid for!!!
