I tried to cancel booking through Expedia, at 5:30, and was told I couldn't cancel and the Hotel was keeping an amount of money, which was more I paid for the room. That was a refundable booking as well. Expedia was going to reach out to the hotel directly to see if they would waive the cancelation price, but the hotel didn't.
