«We so enjoyed our stay at Sugar Sand Retreat! The location is ideal and the house was perfect for our group of 10 plus an occasional extra relative. There was plenty of space for our grandchildren ages 13 - 22 to spread out. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed Lake Ida very much!»

«Our stay at Battle Lake was perfect in this beautiful home. The location was very convenient with great access to groceries, restaurants, bait shop, etc. If there is one thing that could be improved it would be the kitchen pots and pans and utensils, they were very limited. Overall we were incredibly pleased with our stay and would absolutely go back!»

«The house was great and fully stocked ( didn’t need to bring all that I did ) the disappointing thing was the dock area was full of reeds and water was disgusting not at all like picture if we had kids with us they would of never been able to swim or fish off the dock»

«The property was beautiful, nice big back yard where we were able to play whiffle ball, the kids had a blast on the Lilly pad and slide. We were wishing there was a firepit as we were ready to do smores but that would not be a deal breaker if we were going to stay here again, the place is really nice! The communication was excellent!»

We needed help getting into the house and VRBO was absolutely NO help in addressing the issue that my reservation was "erased" from their system on the day of check-in. «We had an enjoyable stay at this property. It was stocked with appropriate basics and felt welcoming. We used the kitchen and dishes, pots/pans and utensils were usable and available. Internet was useable and able to stream a movie. Dock for a couple of fishing boats. Nice composite deck to sit outside. Nice outdoor fire 🔥 area. Can’t control those Minnesota mosquitoes. Nice to have paddle boards available when the wind calmed diwn. »

«We had a very enjoyable vacation on Lake Ida. The home was very well furnished and clean. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences you would need. There were lots of activities for the kids and plenty of outside spots for the adults to rest and relax. Tom (the host) was readily available and quick to respond to questions.»
