Bungalow on Bunker- Hike/Bike In/out —Home nestled in Great Seal State Park

Bungalow on Bunker is a gem of a hideaway tucked up against the best state park in the area. It was completely remodeled in 2022 and is the best family retreat in Great Seal State Park. The home sits at the top of a dead end road with breathtaking views of the hills. Enjoy the serene surroundings from inside on the couch or sitting at the kitchen island or spend time relaxing in the hammock on the front deck or gather around the fire pit.

Hike or bike in/out from the home and enter the pristine trails of Great Seal State Park. There are creeks close by for kayaking and the home has two included upon request. Spend time at the end of the day in the family/game room on the lower level with pool table, arcade games, 70 inch smart tv and plenty of space for family fun.

The kitchen is fully stocked for the chef in your group with an eat in kitchen or gather around the dining table. There is a coffee option for everyone including a French press, a Keurig, and a drip coffee maker. If you are looking for someone else to do the meal prep, you can venture to downtown Chillicothe which is a short 10 minute drive. Our thriving downtown area has plenty to see and do for everyone. Visit the Children’s museum or kick back at one of the local coffee shops or breweries.

When it’s time to say goodnight, the home has three bedrooms with four beds. The master bedroom with king bed has an en-suite bathroom, large soaking tub and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. All bedrooms have premium linens and feature 50 inch smart tvs. The second and third bedroom share a bathroom with walk in shower.

Guests have access to the home using a keyless touchpad on the lower level of the home. There is a washer and dryer for guest’s convenience. The home includes paper towels, toilet paper, linens and towels. We want you to enjoy your stay in our little piece of wilderness paradise.

We had three couples here for a weekend stay and we loved it! The rental is very clean and the decor is very appealing and modern. One of the things that stands out the most is that every single place we plopped down was super comfortable -- dining chair, swivel chair, couch, bed, etc. Our host made the stay even more special with all the extra thoughtful touches and hospitality. We were also pleased to see we could literally step onto a trail of the adjacent state park right from the property.

We are out of the rental. Your place is fantastic so peaceful. The inside is perfect for us. Big kitchen and living room combined we were all in that area all the time. Very clean thanks for the goodies what we didn’t eat the grandkids took home. We all slept great really nice beds and bedding. Loved the soaking tub. Being up on the hill the views were gorgeous. We will be back.

Amazing Home and Host

This property had everything we needed and then some. The house was just as described and was beautifully furnished. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the views were really nice.The hose was great and very helpful and they provided everything we could have need. We've stayed at a lot of VRBOs and this is one of the best hosts we have experienced.Will definitely stay here again.

Bunker Hill

The house was amazing. It was so comfortable and welcoming. Our outside plans were cancelled due to weather,but we were able to go back to the house and still have a great weekend. The view was also amazing, and the location close to several areas attractions. The personal touches of the history made it a truly special stay.

Beautiful home, perfect for the family and a great location

The Bungalow on Bunker Hill was the perfect home for our family while we were staying in Chillicothe. It was very spacious and offered many different areas of the home for everyone to spread out, or come together and enjoy family time when we wanted to. The views from the porch were perfect for morning coffee. We’d definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property

We enjoyed our stay here. It is very spacious, everyone had their own space to relax. The kids enjoyed the game room and my husband and I enjoyed a fire out back and just relaxing on the large deck. The claw foot tub in the master suite was a nice bonus too!! We would definitely stay again.

The house is very well kept. has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Even had some nice snacks for you to enjoy. Great coffee option which we needed, washer and dryer, pool table. Gougous views out the back door with a nature trail just off the back of the property.

Superb!

Our stay was just perfect before we even arrived. Ashley’s communication was excellent, we arrived at 10:30 pm and she has left all the lights on for us, the house was even more beautiful than the pictures and was so incredibly clean! I can’t say enough about the cleanliness, and I am a clean freak. This is the cleanest place (rental or hotel) I have ever stayed it. I wasn’t even tempted to disinfect. The linens smelled so fresh and clean, including the quilts, that I could tell they had just been washed. There were snacks and drinks waiting for us, including a bottle of wine. The house was in a beautiful and peaceful location. The pool table and foosball were awesome. We were in the area for a quick getaway with our daughter who is a student at OU and it was the perfect place to chill and reconnect. It’s very close to a huge Kroger store and many restaurants. I would 100% stay here and would recommend anyone do the same.

30th Birthday Stay!

Ashley was an absolutely AMAZING host! She knew that our group was coming down to celebrate my 30th birthday and she left a gift and a card! That was super thoughtful of her and really made me feel special. The house was very clean and so so beautiful! Definitely recommend staying in this home!
