Hi Jack, I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed following your recent stay. We take pride in providing quality accommodation and take comments of this nature very seriously. We provide comprehensive instructions for arrival in order to ensure guests have all relevant information to allow self-check in. This is particularly important for people such as yourself who are checking in out of hours. We provide all guests with 3 contact numbers for 24hour assistance should it be required. 2 entry codes are provided to the majority of guests in order to access the communal door and room itself. A third code is provided in order to access secure parking for those who have booked it. Parking cannot be included in the room cost as the number of spaces are very limited. All codes are required for guest’s safety, security and insurance purposes. The car parking is secure, covered and right next to the accommodation. This is highly unusual in a Chester City centre location where space is premium. While the spaces are on the small side they are comparable with multi-storey parking spaces. Our maintenance team park transit vans within them regularly without issue. Storage within the room is provided by 2 bedside tables, an open wardrobe with shelving and additional shelving below the desk. This can all be seen on the pictures prior to booking and we have had no complaints previously. We have however added a shelf to the bathroom following your comment. The shower switch must have been turned off by a previous guest as access to this is not normally required. Apologies for this inconvenience. The traditional bay window is fitted venetian blinds which provide adequate light reduction for most people. It gets light very early at this time of year and combined with your 1am arrival this was obviously an issue for you. All of our apartments are fitted with blinds of this type as fitting blackout blinds to this style of window is not practical. I am not aware of any previous reviews mentioning this from other Expedia guests. A fridge is provided for the convenience of guests and although it is at the same end of the room it is not right next to the bed. We have had no previous comments regards it being noisy but will have it checked out following your comment. Part of the appeal of Domus House is its location right next to the historic Roman walls. The windows have blinds as previously mentioned and the bathroom also has a door. This along with the view from the window is all clear in the pictures available prior to booking. I am pleased to hear that despite all this you found the room spacious and the bed comfortable. Kind regards, Deva Leisure.
