Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The key was easily accessible in the key safe and the cottage was spotless and smelt sooo fresh when we arrived. The cottage was so welcoming, such a charming place. Every need was catered for – there were tea, coffee and sugar, kitchen towels and dishwashing materials in the kitchen and the bathroom was stocked with handwash, soap and toilet rolls. The “welcome pack” was absolutely delightful – Cotswold Honey, butter and an artisan loaf from the local ‘Bakery on the Water’ and a little handwritten postcard from Bette and Dawn.
The bedrooms were absolutely gorgeous, both with double beds and one with a double bed and a single bed and the beds were the most comfortable that we had slept in.
The cottage is situated perfectly to walk into the village, about a 5 minute walk into the centre of the village, which has so much to offer. You can visit the nearby attractions or while away the day sitting on the benches along the side of the River Windrush, the choice is yours.
We saw Bette on a couple of occasions and she was a lovely lady who gave us some tips on the best places to visit during our stay.
I would say that the only downside to our holiday was the fact that our holiday had to end.
