«We loved staying at CASA Di Palaia, our room was amazing. We loved the steam bath, it was a good surprise as we didn’t know it was there. My fiancé used it each day as he loves steam rooms. Especially came in handy when it rained. The breakfast they put out, Such a great selection of some meat, cheese, breads and pastries. Some yogurt, granola and fruits to choose from. «This is truly a boutique style hotel. We got very lucky to have booked this. Location was in central Siena which was a huge bonus. The rooms were stunning with hundreds of year old frescoes on the ceiling. The interior was furnished beautifully, the mattress was extremely comfortable and cleanliness was obvious. «The host is excellent, the property is wonderful, spacious parking for six vehicles inside an anient iron and brick fence, ancient house with gorgeous and spacious interior, high ceilings, balcony with a spectacular view of the Tuscany countryside, and a fourteen minute drive from paid parking in the historic city center of Siena. They were so helpful in planning our trip, giving us great recommendations, making dinner reservations (some pre planned and some at the last minute), and helping us with our travel within Italy. «We stayed 22 days. Wonderful villa. Fantastic location to be away from everything. Incredible views. Great property. Well appointed villa with everything you need. Clean. Daniella the property manager was a charm. Helpful and very nice. 10 minutes from Sinalunga and a great location to go to all the sites. Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, 1hr from Florence. Loved it. "This little gem is almost perfect. It is quite a beautiful little hotel 6 minutes from San Gimignano. The rooms are cool, dark and very well isolated. We had a room facing the dinner area, and we did'nt hear a sound of the guest. Only when they dragged their chair did we hear a small noise. The surrounding area is really nice. They also offer shuttle service to San Gimignano so you can leave your car for the day. The breakfast was ok, lots of cakes. Plus for having dairy options for lactose intolerant people. General service of the hotel was really good, but when my wife found cork in her wine which was served at dinner, one of the waiters got annoyed when she told them and asked for a new glass. She did receive it of course, but the reaction to it was not so pleasant. We recommend this hotel for a stay if you want to visit San Gimignano. The only thing missing here would be a gym room. There's not to many option of running or working out in the surrounding area."
