The Neighborhood:
Situated in a quiet forested neighborhood, the home places you within walking distance of a public beach, restaurants, and bars, so you won’t even need to get in the car to enjoy some great activities! A short walk down the road will take you to Waterman’s Landing/Patton Beach where you will find a cute coffee shop, picnic areas, and 2 places where you can rent every type of watercraft imaginable. Or enjoy a sunny day at the beautiful public beach Carnelian West Beach, an excellent swimming spot just a short walk from the home! You will find more entertainment and dining options just down the street from the house such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. In the winter months, you are a 15-minute drive to Northstar or a 20-minute drive to Palisades, Tahoe. Getting Around:
Centrally located off HWY 28 and within walking distance of a public transportation stop, you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. A 3-minute walk will take you to the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Carnelian Woods or Gar Woods East Parking Lot. From here you are just a 20-minute bus ride away to Tahoe City Transit Center where you can connect to locations such as Northstar California Resort. For those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas with just a 10-minute drive to Tahoe City, Kings Beach, and Brockway Summit Tahoe Rim Trail Trailhead. In the wintertime, you are a 20-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center.
