INSIDE:
As you enter the villa, you’ll find a leather oval settee sofa with modern art displays and two cabinets. Inside the right cabinet you’ll find a collection of board games and 300+ movies available for use on either your room tv or shown on a projector for outdoor movies in the front yard. In the left cabinet you’ll find a array of outdoor games and activities for use in/around Sea Point including tennis/padel equipment, beach towels, outdoor checkers, portable weights/bands, yoga mats and a hammock.

The lobby has a horticultural vibe with various plants and a full-length mirror for a ‘last-look’ before heading out on the town. As you walk down the hallway, you’ll find the linen closet and the guest bath.

When approaching the back, you'll find the dining room, featuring a long wooden table that accommodates up to 10 guests with comfortable bucket chairs that also fit under the table for more space when having small events. Here you’ll also find a moveable/extendable 55” television & sound bar (including Netflix, AppleTV & Spotify apps). The corner of the dining room has two walls of accordion doors that open to back pool garden area. You’ll also find a bar fridge, liquor shelf and a raised bar with seating for three that separates the kitchen.

The kitchen is a true “chef’s playground” with every appliance and utensil that you may need (if there’s something missing, let us know!). The coffee bar includes a coffee pot, grinder, water kettle and a couple French-presses with a variety of coffee, tea and biscuit options for the mornings. A 5-burner gas stove with an array of cookware is accompanied by an ice maker, ice crusher, Soda Stream, blender, air fryer, toaster & microwave. A 6-unit cabinet offers each room the ability to store their dry goods, while any cold items can be kept in their individual refrigerators or in the main fridge. An ingredient pantry is available for guests that includes a variety of spices and baking/cooking ingredients. Under the double basin kitchen sink you’ll find a pull-out recycling bin, trash can and compost bin. Endless plateware and glassware (including reusable plastic ones to bring to the beach or park) complement the full bar accessories and servingware to showcase your cooking skills. You’ll also find a washer, dryer & dishwasher under the prep station on the other side of the bar along with a laundry closet with detergents, softeners, an iron and ironing board.

Isundu Villa is comprised of 5 spacious bedrooms (each named after a life-style metal statue found on the property) with a full en-suite bathroom and individualized temperature control with an AC/heating unit; along with bedside fans. Each bed includes an imported 1.5” (4cm) pillowtop mattress cover, two duck-feather and two fluffy-poly pillows and 400 thread count sateen luxe weave sheets, both fitted and flat sheet in addition to a duck feather/down duvet. Set against a reclaimed wood headboard, you’ll find two nightstands each with a cord catch (to avoid fumbling for it) and a small lamp. The oversized armoire has two hanging racks with lots of shelving, storage cubes, a safe (fitting up to a 17” laptop) and a laundry basket. You’ll also find a desk with a chair and plants scattered throughout. The windows are covered in dark blue black-out curtains with magnetic tabs to ensure closure if desired.
The bathrooms include an oversized vanity basin with shelves and a cabinet, in-shower rack/hooks, a large mirror, two large 35”x59” (90cm x 150cm) bath towels, hand towels, washcloths & make-up towels, along with a hairdryer and a make-up mirror.

Each room has its own hard-wired wifi-router for maximum connectivity, along with a smoke detector, a heat/aircon unit for individualized temperature control and many outlets including at least one with USB inputs. Amenities include a 32” (81cm) television with an Amazon Firestick (includes Netflix, AppleTV & Spotify apps & as well as a VPN app), a digitally-controlled safe that fits a laptop up to 17” (43cm), battery back-up power bank with lighting, a small fan, a portable heater, a throw blanket and an Alexa device to play music or answer any questions you may have.

The villa is very tech-forward with 7 hard-wired routers throughout the house and electricity supplemented with solar (2 batteries) and access to and within the villa electronically (thumbprint access or fob/key is also available). The roof is outfitted with solar panels to ensure continuous electricity during load-shedding (forced power outages) with the outlets, lights and most appliances.

OUTSIDE:
The main entrance gate is keyed with a Blink doorbell allowing you to communicate from anywhere in the house. On the left you’ll find a large gate (perhaps a you’ll want a yoga class or just an area to lay the loungers) and a table with chairs for a morning cup of coffee. You’ll also find a kafir lime, a lemon tree and two kumquat trees. The right gate is a coded entry should you not want to bring a key when leaving the property. Here, you’ll also find wrap-around bench seating, a table with chairs and a firepit. With an additional bench and various electrical outlets, it’s a great space to catch the sun’s rays or work outside. Our garden and front walls are ordained with passionfruit vines ready to be consumed (when in season). A portable Amazon Echo offers the ability to play music and we have a portable movie screen with projector to show movies. The front perimeter has an electric fence with a security system monitoring the property and there are cameras with spotlights overlooking the two garden spaces as well as a couple bronze animal statues.

As you walk through the right door, you’ll find a covered area and a cabinet to hold the outdoor cushions/chairs. You’ll continue along the right side (doors to Buffalo and Giraffe are located here), with a wall filled with grape and passionfruit vines, lemongrass plants and a variety of vegetables including peppers, tomatoes, lettuces and herbs (when in season). Here you’ll also find a small cushioned bench and a few cabinets with braai supplies and pool toys along with a braai (BBQ). Just before entering the back garden area, we have an outdoor shower for a quick rinse after a day at the beach or pool. The back courtyard is a great entertaining and relaxing space. The picnic table with cushions offers seating for 12 people with an umbrella and even has a built-in electrical outlet. The 100sqft pool (9.3sqm) is 5ft (1.5m) at its deepest point with graded steps from the side and enough room for 12 people. As a half-above ground pool, you can easily step over the glass wall for access to an internal bench with seating for up to 6 people. Surrounded by lush greenery including palm trees and monsteras, the beach palette of wooden chairs with black potted plants and mirrors scattered across the walls. An Amazon Echo is situated in the corner to play music while relaxing. Along the side and in the back pool area there are 2 cameras to ensure safety and security in these areas.

SERVICE:
One of the best features of Isundu villa is the full-time villa manager, Naison, who will be on property during the daytime during guests’ stays. The rooms will be attended to daily (if desired) with the rest of the villa and property maintained. As your personal concierge, Naison can arrange anything prior to and during your stay including: pre-stocking the fridge with selected drinks or foods (billed at cost), unpacking and ironing clothes, making restaurant reservations, watching the kids, light administrative duties for work, arranging touring activities or services at the villa such as a private chef or fitness instructor, personal driver (car rental and gas consumption billed at cost), running errands within town or just helping serve food or bartend should you decide to host a braai or dinner.
