«This cabin was actually even better than expected. There was a stream my grandchildren just loved to play around. There was plenty of room when the family came to visit & it was private! The only drawback(s) were that I never found a can opener and the sauce pans were few/skimpy.»

«Beautiful property that offers a unique experience of staying in a log house. The fire stove provided more than enough warmth to the entire house. The additional propane heater is also there in case we did not want to keep the fire stove going all the time. Shower cubicle is really small for a guy like me (I am 6 feet 2 inches tall), but I was still able to manage take showers.»

«We ended up not staying. The description says it is a cabin, it is an old manufactured home (mobile home). When we pulled in there was items scattered around the yard, the grass hadn’t been mowed. When we got to the first step the wood need to be replaced. There were holes in the soffit. Once inside the couches looked old and dingy. The inside needed to be spruced up. «We had a lovely time at Hemlock Haven! We spent several days mining for Herkimer diamonds and the cabin was an excellent place to relax after spending the day outside. It is fairly quiet, cozy, and pretty easy to drive to. The hosts had a few extra touches to make it even more welcoming. Definitely recommend for a little R&R!!»

«My cousin and i enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfortable beds, very well stocked kitchen. The front stairs were quite daunting! Getting to the front door with our bags took great effort. It did not diminish our enjoyment of the space but i would caution seniors (like us!) And anyone else with mobility or balance issues.»
