Peaceful family get away with in ground pool close to town

Pool is open April through September!

Only 4 miles from town, come and relax in this newly renovated 2750 sq ft waterfront home on Fishing Creek. This home features a beautiful great room overlooking the creek, a gorgeous fully equipped kitchen with all the upgrades including a beverage cooler. On the main level you will find three bedrooms (K,Q,Q)
and two beautiful baths, one with a gorgeous walk in shower. Upstairs you can relax in the game room and there is a 4th bedroom/loft with six twins and a 3rd full bathroom.
Bring your boat, jet skis, kayaks, or paddle boards or rent one (Blackwater Adventures) and tie up at the new 110 foot pier. There is a new boat ramp on property to launch your kayaks, canoes or jet skis. The boat ramp to launch your boat is 4 miles away. The creek is power boat depth ( owner operates 27ft twin engine outboard in creek). The dock has electric and water supplies.
Relax by our saltwater pool in the summer. Grill your catch of the day and then sit by the gas fire pit on cool evenings.
Visit the quaint downtown where you can shop and dine. Other attractions are golfing at the Hyatt, museums, RAR Brewing, Layton's Chance Winery and Emily's Produce which is awesome for both kids and adults! (Pictures included in our gallery).
Other amenities include TVs in each bedroom, living room and game room, wifi, a desk and printer, sheets, towels, and a washer and dryer.
This home is nestled in a peaceful community. It's a perfect place to bring your family for vacation. Plenty of room for the family to relax and sprawl out. A large yard for the kids to play, stunning sunsets and abundant wildlife.

- There is an outdoor camera facing the driveway only for security purposes.
- Early check-in and late checkout is a $25.00 fee when available. Late check out is 2 pm, early check in is 1pm

The house was extremely well kept and organized with nice touches throughout. We appreciated the welcome note, coupons and inviting atmosphere greatly. Sunsets were some of the best we’d ever seen (recommend planning dinner before or after to fully enjoy). 10/10 would return!

Amazing!!!

Our stay was fantastic, and we plan to return indeed! The house was immaculate and perfect to accommodate our daughter who is in a wheelchair. We even arrived to a surprise hot tub addition! The grounds are beautiful, and the windows bring the outdoors in! The neighborhood was peaceful and perfect for walks. Mindy was an excellent host in every way! Loved everything!!!

great for a bunch of friends!

12 of my friends and i stayed here for my birthday, not only did the hosts leave me a nice birthday gift, but a wonderful place to hang out for a weekend. The place is immaculate and well thought out. They paid attention to every detail! The kitchen is fully stocked so that we could cook for and feed all 13 of us. The entire weekend people kept telling me it was so comfortable, so clean, surprisingly well stocked, beautiful, fun to be in, etc.! Will definitely return! Mindy was very responsive before and during the trip, as well.

Gorgeous, serene, luxurious, and comfortable!!

We had the best time at this gorgeous property to celebrate a 70th birthday. With 6 adults and 2 kids, we had plenty of room to be comfortable. Everything is clean, well functioning, and beautiful! There are so many nice personal touches that you don’t need to worry about a thing. For example, heated toilets, outlets everywhere, supplies, a well stocked kitchen, games, lovely linens and towels. Of course saving the best for last, the view!! The sunsets are incredible over the water. Sitting out back looking out at the water was a dream. Thank you!!

Perfect family getaway

In the words of my 7 year old, "This is the most beautiful house we've ever stayed." This place was immaculate. Every detail was carefully considered, including a bell on the back doors leading to the pool area, which I really appreciated as a mom of small children. The heated toilet seats, warm bathroom floors, and a spacious shower (big enough for the whole family, though you may not want to share—haha!) added to the luxury. The furniture was incredibly comfortable, the views were stunning, and the host’s communication was always prompt and friendly. We will definitely be returning!

Fabulous stay!

My family stayed here for three nights and only wish we could have stayed longer. They have thought of everything! Many, many details throughout the house, smart-home features, well-stocked kitchen, upscale fixtures, and everything was super clean. Beautiful sunsets (and rabbits!) from the back deck. Great communication from the host as well. Will definitely be staying here again

Everything is brand new. The outside is the best part. Extra large deck and the dock were where we spent our time crabbing, playing games and listening to music. We swam in the bay and the pool. So many choices.

july getaway

The outside of this property is very deceptive. It looks like a little old rambler but the inside is spectacular. It's bright, spacious and modern with comfortable and attractive furniture. The appliances are new and the view as you walk in is beautiful. The pool is a real plus. We had a great time swimming and playing in it. Unfortunately, the Chesapeake has plenty of jellyfish so we couldn't swim off the dock but we brought kayaks and there are good kayak routes from the house. The longer creek paddle is to the south. Straight ahead is up the river towards the bay but it was a little rougher going that way. All in all, a really fun place to stay.

We really enjoyed this house! Great for multiple families!

We stayed here as two families for thanksgiving. The kids (ages 6-15) loved the upstairs. So cozy and the game room was great for family movie night. The kitchen was perfect for all of our cooking. Lots of counter space, drink fridge really helped give extra space in main fridge, kitchen is very well stocked with pots, bakeware, crockpot, blender, and plenty of dinnerware/silverware. The backyard, dock, patio, and awesome view of the sunsets was our afternoon/evening entertainment. We went into town one afternoon, but otherwise just hung at the house and it's a GREAT house for just relaxing. Mindy was very communicative and promptly answered the handful of random questions I had prior and during our arrival. If we stay in this area again, we would absolutely stay here!

Lovely Home and Location

This was a wonderful property with plenty of room for our group of 8 to stay and socialize. There was an abundance of storage for groceries we brought which was much appreciated. The view from the back is spectacular. We wished we'd allowed more time to just enjoy the backyard and the view. There's plenty to see and do in the area. There were an abundance of small amenities--labeled light switches, night lights, heated floor in the main bath, that made the stay more pleasant and easier.

5 Star Stay

Our book club of 8 women stayed for a 4 day weekend and we where WOWED by the property. The kitchen was well stocked and beautiful, the bathrooms where all updated and even had heated toilet seats and in the main bath heated floors. The main bath rivals a 5 star hotel bath! The view on the water was beautiful and we were a short 12 minute drive from sightseeing, groceries and gas. Would definitely stay here again.

Literally Almost Heaven

We had such a wonderful long weekend at this beautifully renovated home. The sunsets were spectacular, the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with utensils and cookware, and there were thoughtful and luxurious amenities throughout. The kids enjoyed the yard and board games and loved the charming bedroom upstairs. Mindy was an excellent host and easy to reach. Emily’s Produce is just 5 minutes away and has everything you might need to stock your fridge. We definitely hope to come back again!

Almost Heaven

We loved staying at Almost Heaven. It was right on the water in a quiet & peaceful neighborhood. The house had everything we needed & more: The children loved the upstairs loft area. We only had 2 suggestions and they are minor. Please add some hooks or areas to hang bath towels. We also would have loved a ladder on the pier. It would have been easier to get the children on & off the pier. We hope we can stay again.

Incredible house, yard, and location

This was the perfect place for me and my group of friends to meet up for the weekend. The house was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. There were plenty of beds to fit everyone and great TVs for watching soccer and golf. The yard was amazing. We fit full games of whiffle ball and touch football into the huge space. The nearby River Marsh golf course (~10 min away) was awesome. And to cap things off, we even managed to catch a few crabs off the dock out back. I highly recommend this place for any getaways with family or friends!
