We selected this property for its proximity to the marina as our plans included an excursion out to the Great Barrier Reef. We selected a room with a view of the marina. It was fabulous to awake to the sunrise with the boats in the foreground. However, there was alot of pedestrian noise in the evening until very late. The hotel is an easy stroll in to town and to the walk along the promenade. There are many restaurants located right beside the hotel. We did try to use the pool on two occasions, just before dinner and and again after dinner. However, we found that the pools were filled with children , having lots of fun, but causing nearby adults to be splashed. A heads up. The hotel has a beautiful foyer . Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We did notice that the hotel rooms and hallways were a bit dated and in need of updating. We were disappointed with the shower in our room. There were several areas of black mold on the grout. When we turned on the taps , the fixture was rather loose and it felt as if it might break off. Overall, the location was scenic and it fit the bill for a 3 night stay.

The hotel has seen better days. Room was okay, the bed wasn’t the greatest and there was a weird smell in the hallway which also looked very beaten up.

眺めの良い立地。 スーツケースを広げても余裕のある広い室内。 美味しく雰囲気の良いレストランがすぐ下に沢山ある。 アクティビティへのアクセスも最高。 スタッフもにこやかで気持ちよく対応してくださいます。 次回も必ずここに泊まりたいです。おすすめです！

Great place to stay. Convient location. Lovely staff, very attentive. The pool area with bar is so beautiful too. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms are alot larger than they look in the photos. Robes and slippers are a great touch.

施設のマップが不備で、現在地の表示がない。また、向きが逆さまの表示がそのままになっている。スタッフは、施設は、ホテル外なので、問題ないと回答するなど改善余地がない。ホテルの廊下に3時くらいになってもハウスキーピングのカートが止まっていて、汚ない。シャワーブースに扉がなく、濡れて汚くなってしまう。

Excellent property. One of the best we have stayed in. The staff was very helpful and they took care of everything. Beautiful Marina views and a lot of dinning options available. The only feedback is the restaurant within the hotel could have more food options available, specially vegetarian

The sea view king room was fairly comfortable. We appreciated the Nespresso machine for our morning coffee fix as well as the private deck overlooking the esplanade. The room was quiet. The bed was a bit too firm for me, and the pillows were too soft. I requested firmer pillows and then they were very hard, so we were unable to find a happy medium. Other than a closet with a few hangers, there was no where else to put our clothing (no drawers). The hotel is conveniently located near the main marine terminal and to the lagoon pool, shops, and restaurants. Most of the staff, particularly at the front desk, were quite friendly. We enjoyed the cocktails at the pool bar as well as lunch at the Backyard.

It’s a shame that the property is not well-maintained, despite having so much potential being in a prime location. The room where we stayed at unfortunately was at the far end of the west or south wing, we had to take 2 lifts that wasn’t connected to get to the room so it wasn’t convenient, but the worst part is that our room was in front of a cleaner closet and was constantly messy, the carpets are very old and smells mouldy, quite unpleasant. On the bright side, the cleaners were very lovely and attentive to our needs, very appreciative of their help during our stay.

Other than perfect location, hotel has quite underwhelming, they tried to charge us for services we didn’t use, not mentioning that they king bed is really 2 twins put together.

The property is in my opinion in the best location of all Hotels in Cairns. So conveniently close to all of the best things to do and places to eat in Cairns. Room was so spacious and well maintained and the staff were excellent. Special mention to Cleaner Joanne and front reception Aldi for going the extra mile and making us feel so welcome and looked after. Will only stay at this hotel any time I come to Cairns no doubt. Thankyou Shangri-La Cairns we loved our stay.

ケアンズを拠点にするときの定番と思われるグレートバリアリーフ（グリーン島）、キュランダへのアクセスが抜群に良い。 グリーン島行きのフェリー乗り場は眼の前で、キュランダへの送迎も徒歩5分ほどの場所に来る。 ご飯の場所にも困らないので立地は最高。

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like! Convenient to the pier where the Barrier Reef cruises left(maybe 75yards) and tons of eating places within easy walking distance. Highly recommend!
