On the borders of Cheshire and Staffordshire, Buxton is described as ‘the gateway to the Peak District National Park’. It’s home to Poole’s Cavern, an extensive limestone cave open to the public, and St Ann’s Well, fed by the geothermal spring sold worldwide by Buxton Mineral Water Company. Also in town is Buxton Opera House, which hosts several annual festivals. There is a vast array of restaurants, pubs and bars to be enjoyed, all within walking distance. There is a train line directly behind the property, and Buxton also has a train station with trains running directly into Manchester’s Piccadilly.
