This is located right opposite the the train station and can be little noisy at night. The hotel is a no frills and basic establishment but was fine for a 2 night stay while on a works trading course. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean so nothing really to complain about. There's a very basic bar next the reception serving botled beers. This is cheap and cheerful with friendly staff and I would consider staying there again if I visit Burton again in the future.

Crap
I am an OAP staying at an IBIS hotel in Burton on Trent on the 5/6 nights. During the first night, @ 1 and 2 and 5 o clock I was awakened by the bathroom extractor. Apparently they do not automatically switch off after a certain time, so are going 24/7. This is the only hotel chain that appears to have this stupid facility. The hotel is situated 50 yards from the mainline railway station which added to the noise. I was here for my Uncles’ funeral and needed a good sleep. The staff during the time were aware of the 2 problems causing me distress and were very sympathetic – 5 Star for them. On the contrary the management were the total opposite. If I could give them a minus 5 I would. Do you think I will ever stay at an IBIS again? No compensation given. I leave this report to help you decide about Ibis hotels.

Muito bem localizado. A recepcionista foi muito atenciosa e gentil. O Quarto estava limpo mas muito quente e abafado, a janela tinha pouca abertura. Sentimos falta de um ar condicionado. Só havia um pequeno ventilador no quarto. Café da manhã gostoso e bem servido.

I booked this hotel room for 3 adults ( 1 double bed and a twin bed) I was provided with a double bed and a very small single bed frame with NO mattress. I complained to the receptionist to change room and was told the hotel only provide this type of bed frame for a family room. My son who is 5feet 11 could not sleep. We tried to put an extra duvet under the sheet but it didn’t not sort the problem. So do not book this hotel for a couple and a kid. This is wrong advertisement and I am taking this up with hotel.com

Excellent value
This was a very clean place, and the breakfast was lovely and fresh. It’s a nice old industrial building and has kept some of the features. Overall a great stay for a very good price

Pros - reception staff very helpful. Professional and polite (other than failing to tell me about the trains) Cons - i asked for a quiet room away from road noise. I couldn’t sleep because of train noise. I should have been told it was by a railway line when I spoke to reception about a quiet room prior to booking. The corridor I stayed on had a strong smell of cigarettes. The pillows are awful! I know it’s a budget hotel but it was overpriced for what it is. If you can’t sleep due to the train noise and feel people should’ve been honest then it will never be a good experience. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Good morning. I do apologies that you found it difficult to sleep. You did ask for a room away from road noise so was given a room on the back. If you had of approached reception when you entered your room and saw the train line we would happily of moved you. People do smoke outside the hotel so when they reenter the property the smoke smell follows. Fire walks are carried out stringently within the hotel to prevent any smoking in the hotel. We have never received any negative comments regarding the pillows but that is down to personal choice. Once again thankyou for your review.
