Amazing 5BR House with Lake & Mountain Views in Gated Resort

NEW OWNERS! Working on updates through the house including kitchen appliances, new furniture, new gas grill, large TVs in the loft and living room, new towels, and more to come soon! Looking forward to being your host at this incredible property.

This large house sits right on Lake Cumberland and has incredible views of the water and surrounding mountains. Take in the scenery through picture windows throughout the house or from any of the three levels of decks. Private, gated community and on a street with only six other houses.

Enjoy more than 3600 sq ft of living space plus 1500 sq ft of decks. There are four private bedrooms plus sleeping quarters on the lower level and a pull out sofa in the upstairs loft. 5 and 1/2 baths, screened in porch, covered front porch, and three levels of decks. Home features a fully equipped kitchen, 6-person hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, four tvs, high speed internet, gas grill, and laundry room. The private community includes three swimming pools, tennis court, boat ramp, walking trails, gift shop, walking trails, and many weekend events planned for guests. It's also surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest. This is one of the largest homes in Lake Cumberland Resort with lots of space for families and friends.

This home is situated at the end of its street making it extremely private. Three floors of living space provide plenty of room for couples or families to come relax, spend time together, and enjoy all the area has to offer. Bring your boat or rent one at the nearby Burnside Marina and take in the lake during the day, visit the Daniel Boone National Forest, or take in the variety of views while spending time at the house. Only 20 minutes from Somerset.

It’s been great working with these owners. We love the well stocked kitchen and the view out the windows. With 5 bedrooms there is plenty of space for all our family. This is a beautiful part of the country to get away for some respite.

We had stayed there in the past but under previous owners. The new owners have made many excellent changes. I can't think of anything that this Vrbo rental doesn't have. Very clean. All guests were completely satisfied & loved the place, which is huge because there is always that one!!! Owners are very accommodating & quick to respond to any requests or needs before & during stay.....HIGHLY RECOMMEND & WILL STAY THERE AGAIN WITH FAMILY

The home is large and enjoyable. The pool table and ping pong table received hours of use (and our family is not a "pool" family). The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals for 10. The location is quiet and peaceful. We used the home as our vacation hub and took advantage of its location to plan daily activities. Our three big ones were hiking at Cumberland State Park, visiting the Ark Encounter and renting a pontoon from a nearby marina for a day. It was easy to get to Somerset for any grocery shopping we needed to do. The putt putt course in Somerset was a blast!There is no yard/green space for outdoor play at the home - just be aware. There is, however, plenty of parking - we had 4 vehicles there all week and had no issues. We had no cell service but the Wi-Fi easily handled all our needs, including 2 working remotely during our stay.We used the pools and tennis courts daily! We had just a few questions during our stay and Gwen answered our texts within moments.The home (interior and furnishings) itself is worn. The owners have made updates, but many more are needed. Most glaring were that none of the doors, except the front door, locked. There were broomsticks to wedge into the sliding doors to secure them, which did not make us feel safe. The front door latch is extremely temperamental and is in the twilight of its lifespan. Once that latch fails it will be impossible to enter the home from the outside.

The house had lots of room and toys for kids. Many bedrooms and bathrooms; 3 nice decks, grill, tables. There was a warning on the fridge about bears and copperhead snakes. I was expecting the possibility of bears but not poisonous snakes; that wasn't mentioned in the ad. I didn't expect to find a snake bite kit in the drawer. Thankfully we didn't need it. There wasn't an inch of property outside for kids to walk around, much less play and a very steep bank I was afraid they would fall down. Host provided one roll of toilet paper. We had to go buy shower products. (Our previous stay at another vrbo provided everything.) The view of the river was beautiful and the gated community area very nice. Pool was nice and warm. This would be a better choice for older children. It was a very long drive to anywhere. We went to the Big South Fork Scenic Railway and went tubing with Sheltowee Adventures and both were great. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Family Reunion Spot

The site provided all the pictures and info needed to make this choice. The house was perfect and large enough to house everyone for the reunion. There were games and activities in the house for all ages. The house was very clean and had everything needed to make a huge dinner. The view was great!

Spectacular View

We rented this house to celebrate my 50th birthday. This home has plenty of room for large groups and you don't feel like you are on top of each other. Large bedrooms all with bathrooms. The owners were quick to respond. We would definitely rent this again.

Amazing time

Even though we had no electricity after the first night, we made the best out of it and ended up managing to have a great time!! Our host (owner) was awesome!!! Gwen kept us updated all weekend after the tornado had come through! And was great!!

Spring Break 2025

I (Mom/Grandmom) and my family (Son & DIL GD 2 1/2 & GS 3mos and youngest son) spent a week here, catching up and meeting the newest addition. The location is remote without being too far from the city. Peaceful mornings with birds chirping and the river below. Peaceful evenings with frogs croaking, fire pit nights, and hot tub soaks. Plenty of room to group up for family fun and enough rooms to have some time alone. We ate out once but took advantage of having a full kitchen and grill to maximize our time together. Such a great spot to have all the family together under under one roof!

Well equipped home with gorgeous view

We loved staying in this home, and with 3 generations, it was well suited to our needs. The kitchen was very well stocked and made it easy to do all our holiday baking. The five bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths meant that everyone had their privacy. The views of the river made for a perfect setting. We hope to return again in the future.

Cumberland Lake Resort Property

Great View

The house has a great view, but the bed in the first floor bedroom was not comfortable. There was spalling drywall in this room from a previous flood. We also found 2 scorpions in the house, and parts of the deck need to be replaced.

Great stay

What a great place and great area. Mike's place was so spacious. Our group of 7 had more than enough room to spread out. The 6 bathrooms was a huge feature. The deck had an unbelievable view. We grilled every night. The boys loved the pool table and ping pong table. The home is at the end of the block so we felt like we had the forest to ourselves. We rented a pontoon boat at the harbor about a half hour away and had a blast. The landscape in the area is amazing. We can't wait to come back.

Nice family weekend

Overall a descent place. I understand they are doing updates. However, there were broken floor tiles in the kitchen that were sharp. The upstairs balcony didn’t seem very sturdy. It rained each night which prohibited sitting on the deck furniture because the dining chairs retained the water the next day. It was 30 min away from a grocery store-but did have Dollar generals near by. And in general needs more updating. But was clean, provided ample space for our family to relax or play games, cook meals. There was also a nice pool location in our area. The marina was 20 minutes away. And was in our budget. Also at the end of a culdesac so that was really nice.

Summer family getaway at the lake

Our family has gone to lake Cumberland resort the past 3 years but this is our first time staying at this house. It did not disappoint. Everything was as described and I really felt as if the owners went above and beyond to ensure a home away from home atmosphere. There was plenty of space for our whole party (9) and it was great having the basement for the boys to stay in and have their own little private space. The bathroom situation was top notch considering so many of us and to have 5 1/2 bathes you never had to wait. We will definitely be back again in the future!

Great Family House

This was the third time staying here and just like the previous times..it was great! We had another family reunion and had all range of ages staying here. This house was perfect for all. It had the cooking utensils needed to prepare the dinners with several fridges. The house had entertainment on several floors which helped and the scenery was amazing! The host answered all questions and check in was a breeze.

Family Time 2024

The house was very spacious . Suited the needs for 12 people . Kids loved riding their bikes in the drive . We played UNO on the back deck . Pool needs a pool house with toilets . Not handy with kids . The whole area was very clean and well kept . Very secluded. Seen the village bear . Everyone we met was very nice.
