Staff was very friendly, good location, expensive than I expected - especially HALF BOARD - they count 8 Pouds for servise. NExt time I will choose cheaper option.

We stayed on a half board basis. Breakfast and the evening meals were superb. Staff were very attentive. Great location and hope to return for another stay.

Another lovely stay at the Angel, Burford Room clean and well prepared Just off the Main Street really good food and and amazing breakfast loads of juice and coffee presented to us at breakfast so no looking around for someone to top up juice and coffee This is a real gem of a place to stay but you’ll have to be flexible so if you see a vacant room book it and do a bit of homework as there’s so much to see in the area you won’t disappointed We will definitely be coming back to Burford and will return when the Angel is available Lovely manager and amazing staff

Staff were very helpful, the evening meal was excellent, but the breakfast was rather more average (toast overcooked). The room was lacking a chair for TV viewing.

Wonderful accommodation and meal
We have visited the Angel before and this was another wonderful stay. We ate at the hotel as well and the meal was excellent as well as breakfast.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay at The Angel. Friendly staff, lovely food, spotlessly clean and beautiful room. Parked in the free carpark nearby. Lovely to visit Burford again and relive childhood memories. Would highly recommend.

Very close to centre of Burford. Situated on a quiet street. No car park but managed to get a space on the street. There is a public car park nearby. Pleasant bar and restaurant with attractive well tended garden at the rear. Good food in the evening, although at breakfast no fruit of any kind was available to accompany with our cereal. Bedroom was large and comfortable. Bed on the hard side. Sheets and towels excellent.

A lovely traditional inn just off the high street Booked in for an evening meal which was excellent.Good atmosphere and friendly staff.Room was a good size with a comfortable bed .Easy access to explore near Cotswolds.

This annex attached to the pub is comfortable and clean and has all the amenities to make the stay comfortable. The parking is not on site as mentioned in the description, which was disappointing, but otherwise in a convenient location.

The room we had at the Angel was very comfortable and clean, also very quiet. It is ideally located a few steps away from the main street with pubs and antique shops, the staff was very agreeable and their pub garden is perfect for a drink at the end of a day of visiting the area.

Escape to the Cotswolds
The room we were given did not look like any of the photos online. We chose The Angel for the medieval looking walls/ceiling and being able to stay in a 16th century building. We were placed in a separate building that had much more of a ‘spare room at Nan’s vibe.’ The carpeting and decorating were desperate for a change, but the bathroom was lovely and modern, with a separate showers and deep bath tub. The location from the high street was ideal and we were less than 10 mins from Cotswold Wildlife Park, which is amazing. Overall, we expected a bit more effort and attention to detail for the price, compared to the other listings in the area.

Can not fault The Angel in any way. Great hotel with the most courteous and friendliest staff and lovely food. Wanted to stay another night but rooms all booked. Highly recommend.

The hotel was full of character, very warm and inviting. The room was adquate, spacious and warm with a decent bed. Facilities were good in that there was a tv and tea and coffee, the ensuite bathroom had all the necessary items you would expect to find. The shower is over the bath which could pose a problem if you like me have bad hips so access in and out required careful manouvering. Overall whilst the rooms were adequate there was a tired appearance about them, the bathrooms in particular could do with some work. The bar was a small cosy area perfect and inviting for a drink however seating due to its size is limited. The restaurant facilities are good as is the quality and delivery of the food combined with the service.

Be aware there is no on site 'free parking'. We had to park in a free car park and hump the luggage. Just something to be aware of if you think 'free parking' means 'free on site parking'..Nice welcome. Room adequate. Breakfast looked good although we couldn't stay...

What a lovely property. 3 room pub just off the high street, convenient to many options and sites. Lovely staff who were as helpful as could be upon checkin. It is an obvious local spot for a handful of regulars. The food was delicious and they have a decent wine list and beer selection. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Lovely cosy Inn with great food
We had a lovely night away in this cosy and friendly pub.The room was large and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. The food in the pub ( we opted for half board) was extremely well cooked and of a high standard.The breakfast choices were wide and again well cooked. We would be more than happy to stay there again.

Returning home
We were returning home as part of our re-run of our honeymoon 50 years ago this year. We travelled down to the new Forest, over to Dorset and back up through Burford. We used the same car as we did 50 years ago, a 1037 Morris 8 and had a good time. The Angel at Burford was the last hotel before returning home.

A Warm welcome and a pleasant introduction at the Angel pub. The beer selection was good and the dinner and breakfast menu's were varied and the food was excellent in quality. My wife says it would be nice to hsve a handrail in the bathtub and a rail on the stairs to help her get in ,out , up and down. All was great. Tony from Montreal.
