Not very good
Untrained personal that did not speak very good English. Couldn’t give us information about breakfast. The fire alarm went of and they didn’t know what it was. When we asked if this was the fire alarm they responded with “no, I don’t know what it is”. The rooms are clean but old. The breakfast is small and boring. One elevator was broken for the whole stay (five days) overall not a four star hotel but good location.

On the other hand I was sad to read all the detailed critics in your post. Regarding the breakfast issue, I will have to say that we have failed in the perfect customer service, and I will investigate the situation.
However, I would like to confirm that we do provide a buffet breakfast with sweet selection as well, moreover you can find various types of bread, strudel, marmalade, cereals, fresh fruits & vegetables, hot dishes, and on top of that we do offer various diary items upon request (gluten & lactose free items) without any extra cost.
I will personally make the necessary steps to avoid such mistakes in the future.
Again thank you for your feedback and we would certainly like to welcome you back one day for another chance and to make amends. Please let us know if I can assist you in the future!

Amazing! In city center and close to everything
We really enjoy our stay here! The service of the hotels was amazing! They allow us to check in earlier than 3 p.m which was a huge relief since we arrive in the morning! The location was close to everything so we didn’t need to buy a public ticket if necessary. We will definetly come back! Breakfast was also very good!

Hadde en utrolig bra langhelg på K+K Hotel Opera! Rommet var overraskende bra med veldig deilige senger. Servicen var upåklagelig og betjeningen var meget imøtekommende og hjelpsomme! Beliggenheten var også ypperlig. Hadde på forhånd trodd det lå litt lengre unna det meste av severdigheter og byliv, men det var overraskende kort avstand til det meste. Perfect location
Location of the hotel was perfect. The staff in the reception were friendy and helpful. The breakfast saturday morning was crazy and all together a bad experience. To many people fighting for the food. This should be arranged in a better way. Rooms were nice, but the bathroom a bit worn.

The location was great, which was most important for me. From desk was helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, and my toilet would often run (drip, drip, drip). I was there off season, and price was reasonable. I would stay there again if back in Budapest.

Un día salimos a las 10 :30 am y ya no nos hicieron la habitación .
Y el último día en el buffet , llegó un grupo antes y por lo tanto , no nos tocó fruta, ni platos limpios a pesar de que eran las 9 am

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in the past year (I've stayed in at least 20 hotels for about 60 nights in that time frame). It took 25 minutes to check in. The front desk staff were unfriendly. The room had the wrong bed configuration. The room was extremely hot and, even though it is advertised as having AC, it only has AC in the summer. The window barely opened. The carpets in the hall and in the room had stains all over. I cannot understand how this hotel has such high ratings. As a point of reference, on this trip I stayed in a total of 4 hotels and I gave the other 3 positive reviews.

Unfortunately, check-in may take longer time due to some obligatory procedures which are set by the law and cannot be overwritten by the hotel. This is for example scanning the documents and completing the form. Without that procedure, hotel is unable to check-in any guests as it is supervised by authorities (with automated systems). You requested a twin room, and your room were equipped with two separated beds, as requested. We are surprised about your negative comment in regards to the unfriendly staff, as we got many-many positive reviews highlighting their friendliness and professionalism. We would be appreciated, if you could share more exactly with us your opinion. Exactly, AC is available only during Summer season and usually hotels are working with same system. Windows may be open partially for security purposes, however our Front Desk Team is happy to assist you, if complete opening is required (after filling in the required form). Unfortunately, we did not receive such request on the spot during your stay. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t great.
We were given 2 twin rooms although booking 2 double rooms. The staff were rude and unhelpful and when we continued to ask them to ammend this.

Would definitely recommend
I have nothing to complain about! The location is perfect as you can walk anywhere from there plus have multiple public transportation options to anywhere. It’s a very safe area and the hotel is in good shape. It’s not super new or modern, but they maintained it perfectly. Very clean too and the staff was super friendly.
