Sengene var knallharde, ikke mulig å justere temperatur i rommet pga sentralvarme, vifte kunne lånes, støy fra 05 om morgenen. Lokasjonen var grei, frokost OK. Hyggelig personell.

Meget sentralt hotell. Veldig hyggelig og service minded resepsjon. Grei størrelse på rommene til den prisen. Rengjøringen var bra, litt møkkete dusj. Kan absolutt anbefales om du vil bo sentralt i Budapest

Decent price for a bed and location nothing more.
Ar beginning it looked like a decent hotel, bad smell of mold in the bathroom, hard bed. Room in the 5th floor, behind the breakfast room, some company or something had a convention thing, and with it blocked my room, had to find alternative route to get back to my room, after getting what I needed from my room. Then attempted get straight down, the alternative elevator this lead to a locked door on ground level and had to go back through 3rd or 5th floor. Sounds like no biggie but it was like a 10 minutes trying to get out og a maze. Since they claim to be a 4star hotel I just expect a lot more. If it had been 3 star I wouldn't have given this bad review. They don't have room service, I expect 24/7 room service at 4stars.

Dear Traveler, First of all we would like to thank you for choosing ARCadia Hotel for your stay in Budapest and also for taking your time and effort to share your review with us. Let me kindly inform you that a big part of the invonveniences that you experienced while staying with us, has to do with the fact that our hotel is nestled in a heritage building and to renovate a heritage building is a difficult process, because all plans, even very little changes or renovations need council approval. Good news is, that as soon as the plans are approved, the renovation work can start, and – if everything goes well - will be done by the end of Spring 2019. We truly regret that you also have had cause to complain about the way your room could be reached. We are absolutely aware of the inconvenience this might generate to our guests, but due to the height of the arcade that divides the two wings of the hotel, lower levels of the old wing can only be reached by a second elevator. Finally, we would like to kindly remind you that your remarks are very important to us, so we will use them during our developments. We hope your stay in Budapest was otherwise enjoyable and hope to see you back someday at the ARCadia Hotel Budapest! Kind regards,

Ville ikke valgt dette hotellet igjen, hvis skal tilbake. Til å være ett 4 stjerners hotell, er hotellet milevis unna å fremstå som det. Noen ganger kan faktisk bildene man ser av hotellet lyve, noe som absolutt er tilfellet her. Beliggenheten er sentralt og vel det eneste som står til 4 stjerner. Hotellet kan i utgangspunktet ikke være bygget som ett hotell. Verdens minste resepsjon må vel dette hotellet også inneha, noe bildene også tilsier - all den tid det ikke finnes bilder av resepsjonen i oversikten. Standard dbl rom oppgis til å være 25 m2. Er du heldig, er rommet kanskje halvparten av det. Betjeningen i frokostsalen gikk rundt og drakk kaffe og pratet sammen, enn å ha fokus på gjestene og rydding av bord. Interessant å egentlig observere det hele og at det faktisk kan være så stor forskjell på de ansatte vs hvilke hotell man befinner seg på. I dette tilfellet trenger en overhode ikke noe hotellfaglig bakgrunn for å kunne se at her er det mye å ta tak i. Sett bort fra beliggenhet, opplevdes dette mer som ett 2/3 stjernes hotell. Har reist en del i mitt liv og bodd på mange forskjellige hoteller, så føler at min feedback ikke er useriøs. Er heller ikke en som i utgangspunktet er så veldig kravstor. Hotellet bygger opp en god forventing gjennom bilder etc i forkant. Fallhøyden blir da desto større når du ankommer stedet og tar det hele i betraktning. Dette kombinert med at betjeningen har mye å gå på når det gjelder service og profesjonalitet, ble dette en nedtur.

Veldig hyggelig personale og flott beliggenhet. Frokostlokalet var koselig og sjarmerende. Rommet var stort og lekker. Det som trekker ned er en litt for hard madrass og mye bråk i områdene. Dette skyldes selvsagt at det lå veldig sentralt med barer og bistroer rett utenfor, men kunne vært bedre lydisolasjon.

Bra hotell. Veldig bra service alltid tilgjengelig og de som jobber i resepsjonen informerte oss om alt vi kunne gjøre i byen. De kunne flere språk som var veldig positiv. Hotellet ligger sentralt vil gjerne anbefaler den.

Bra hotell, sentralt til t-bane område, og gå-avstand til mage fasiliteter. Fantastisk hotellpersonale, hyggelig og hjelpsomme. Rommene var ok, kunne vært litt mer lyd tett. Litt harde senger, men ellers storfornøyd! Fantastisk frokost!

Having checked in on the Monday and being sold a room upgrade to a quiet area of the hotel, I was awoken at 6:30 the following morning by the very loud lift music. Upon then attempting to have a shower, I discovered this was not working. 09:30 and I receive a call from reception stating that the hotel is being evacuated due to “air-con maintenance issues”. Then having waited around reception for several hours, and wasting a day of my holiday, I was told that I would have to spend the rest of my stay in another hotel. The new hotel wasn’t fit for purpose - far away from chosen location, no bath for my young daughter, minuscule room and a very poor child’s bed. I explained to reception that I would prefer another hotel if I had to be moved. They said this wasn’t possible. As a result, I requested a refund so that I could book another hotel of my choosing. They said I’d need to contact Expedia, but I could always book another hotel in the meantime and apply for a refund later (thankfully I didn’t do that!) Having then spoken to Expedia, they said it was up to the hotel to issue the refund. Expedia attempted to contact the hotel several times to no avail, and I have been refused a refund. I had no choice but to stay in the alternative hotel, as otherwise I’d have paid for two lots of accommodation. Very poor advice from the ARCadia staff in suggesting I book another hotel and claim for a refund later. I would still like my refund.

Myself and my partner recently stayed at the Arcadia for a 5 night city break. We chose a room with a supreme queen bed, and were amazed to see that the room was huge, almost like a suite! There was lots of space for our things, and a large bathroom too! Another thing that was great was that there were plenty of electric sockets for charging etc. The hotel is very centrally situated, with pubs and restaurants nearby, and is only a 5 minute walk from St Stephen’s Basilica. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We decided to add on breakfast for 2 days, and it was very nice, mostly continental but with some cooked items too. There was lots of choice. I would recommend staying here, and would stay again if I return to Budapest!

I really liked the location of the hotel as the transportation is very convenient in this area. The room was always clean, however may need some renovation of the washroom. I did not like while showering how the water suddenly turned burning hot. That was hazardous and has been reported.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The reception staff is welcoming and kind. It is highly recommended to change the bath towels every day.

I had the best check in experience with Soli. He was so lovely, recommended places for me to go, gave me a nicer room and overall every time I walked into ARCadia I was greeted with a smile. Genuinely my time in Budapest could not have been better. The staff are there 24/7 and even when I’d booked a hotel room half an hour before getting there, both staff were so attentive and understanding. My room was stunning, the location was amazing. I would most definitely stay here again if I visit Budapest again. 5/5 all around, can’t thank the staff of ARCadia enough.
