Perfekt for oss
Dro til Bristol med mannen min og vår 2 år gamle son, og komforten var uslåeleg. Rommet var av god storleik, frukosten var kjempegod, dei ansatte var svært hyggelege og hjelpsomme, og hotellet låg fint til med kort gåavstand til både togstasjonen og sentrum. Her vil me kome tilbake til!

Hotel is very nice , clean . With good sized rooms as you expect in a Novotel . Only real complaints relate to the heating , as numerous other reviews have mentioned , the internal room temperature of the rooms is locked at 19 degrees . No amount of adjusting of the baffling heater controls ( no instructions provided ) will get it to move up or down . I got the readout to change to 22 degrees and it made zero difference . I then got it to show “off” on the display , it still continued to ( noisily) pump out 19 degree air all night . In the end we took out the provided electric oil radiator , and plugged that in to get some heat into the room . Which brings us to the next problem , mains sockets , or the lack of , our room - 135 , had one single mains socket (That’s a single socket , not a double ) and no USB’s , this is completely unacceptable in this day and age , for a couple staying together With phones. iPads , earbuds etc to charge . Even a Travelodge has at least two double sockets , both with USB’s in their premium rooms , so to have only a single socket in a £100 plus a night room is an insult. Get your act together Novotel , this is penny pinching to an insulting level .

A decent enough stay, but the TV had many of the channels missing. To be fair, they offered a new room, but not on after you'd unpacked for a day.

Ok, but I’ll try to stay elsewhere next time.
The room was ok, a bit rough around the edges feels a bit dated compared to the more modern Premier Inn just up the street. No Aircon in the room which made it hot during the night, the windows did open, but the room faced onto the street where building works were taking place early in the morning. The towel was grubby. The place felt a bit tired. I was also tired after 2 nights of bad sleep due to being hot. The room had a fridge with 2 complimentary cartons of water, I appreciated this.

Great choice
Really great hotel. Close to the city centre and the train station. Comfortable and clean room, and very nice restaurant. Great breakfast as well. We really enjoyed our stay there. Staff were really helpful as well.

Faulty shower
Very friendly amd helpful reception staff when booking in. Shower did not drain and flooded bathroom. The house keeping member told us she had reported the problem the day before, yet they still booked us into the room. Reception staff offered nothing to resolve the problem, i had to ask for another room so we were able to shower!! Very much delayed our day. Nice breakfast, but overall very disappointing.

Positives: The staff at the novotel were helpful and friendly. The additional activities for children were appreciated. The bed and bedding were comfy. Rituals toiletries were lovely. Plenty of towels and complimentary water was lovely. Breakfast food was good and gluten free options appreciated. Ways to improve: Decor is very tired and in need of rejuvenation. Carpets had seen better days.At breakfast gluten free options and decaf coffee was not readily avaliable. Once requested it took quite a while to have these items delivered.Children said the sofa beds were uncomfortable. Lots of local conatruction so quite noisy.

Although the room was well furnished and comfortable we were cold. There were no instructions for the heater and, although we turned up the thermostat, it took over an hour for the temperature to go up 2 degrees. There did not appear to be any way to have heating without the noisy fan. We enquired at reception and they said they would send maintenance. No one came during the 2 hours we were getting ready to go out and when we returned later in the evening the heating had been turned off! This was disappointing as everything else about our stay was fine.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced, in good location
I tend to always stay here when visiting Bristol as rates are reasonable and location is quiet but still close to all the activities. My only concern is navigating my way to the hotel due to all the one-way roads, bus lanes & raod closures but that's an issue with Bristol not Novotel

Hotel in a good position for centre of Bristol, but lack of hot water due to boiler issues really ruined the stay.
