Lovely room over looking the park. Walked to a lovely pub across the river. I always have to have a gym anywhere I stay to feed my addiction and this one didn’t disappoint. Friendly staff and discounted NCP parking next door.

Overall a good stay, helpful staff & our cleaner was really lovely. The room was cosy, bathroom definitely needed an overall, quite shabby & old. The plug wouldn’t hold water in the bath but upon calling reception to maintenance sorting was outstanding & super efficient. The gym is excellent & equipment really good. Receptionists & bar staff really lovely too.

Overall good but not perfect.
Brilliant location, good easy parking, excellent staff, room was a bit tired, the windows were filthy and we found a previous guest's rubbish under the bed which was a bit disappointing. This was really the first only disappointing aspect, overall it was a pretty good stay in a classy hotel.

I would not recommend
I wouldn’t rate this hotel 4 stars, you will not enjoy your night there as there is very loud heating system, the reception lady was nice to offer us refunds but management didn’t accept it after a few emails, which is really disappointing, I could not sleep as the heating is really loud, there isn’t much choice of breakfast in the morning. The room itself is good looking and location is great. Really disappointed with the management will never go back to this hotel

embarrassing and unnerving
It was lovely until someone walked in on my fully naked. When we first booked it we requested a later check out time and the man at the desk said he could to until 1pm complimentary. The next morning at 12pm i was up about to get changed hence having no clothes on and someone knocked once and then immediately opened the open and saw me they quickly shut the door however it was very embarrassing and unnerving. The communication should be better amongst staff about the who has a later checkout as this completely ruined the experience for me.

A comfortable and clean hotel, staff were superb especially hotel bar staff very friendly. Unfortunately it was covered in scaffolding and the terrace was closed due to ongoing maintenance. The bathroom needs updating it was quite old and a little tatty but was clean. Location is great if you want to be central.

We stayed for 2 nights in a double room with breakfast. From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly. They explained about the ongoing refurb on our floor and offered us a different room if we would like. We were happy with our room, a little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Food and drinks were good (drinks a little pricey but no more than you would pay in London). My partner was very happy they were showing the football in the bar. No water in the fridge in the room as advertised and limited tea/coffee but I am sure it would have been provided if we asked. Lifts were very slow but 1 was out of order. On the whole a really enjoyable stay, staff in particular were all really friendly at reception, bars, restaurant and housekeeping. Would visit again.
