Komfortabel, avslappet atmosfære
Vi hade et særdeles hyggelig ophold. Vi ble mødt har et blidt og forekommende personale som serverte kaffe eller vin i en solfylt uhøytidelig hage. Når vi lot blikket gli gjennom omgivelsene, hadde vi ingen problemer med å se for oss damer i stråhatt og kjole med kø. Vi anbefaler Cliften Hotel på det varmesete.

Jeg er veldig fornøyd med dette hotellet, det passet utmerket for meg i forhold til det som jeg skulle i Bristol.Personallet er meget vennlig og alt ser koselig ut, det ligger litt langt fra sentrum, så alt er avhengig om hva er man etter.

Hotellet har forbedret seg , de har gjort om på rommet, nytt bad osv.Personalle er veldig vennlig og det er godt service.Hotellet ligger nokså sentralt og det er en liten , hyggelig hotell i den klassen .

Grei beliggenhet ift University of Bristol
Besøkte hotellet ifm Open Day på Universitet - beliggenheten er nærmest perfekt. alt var svært nærme. Gangavstand til flere hyggelige restauranter - og også overkommelig å gå til sentrum. Buss rett ved hotell til shopping området. Hotellet er anderledes enn andre steder vi har bodd. Resepsjonen er nærmest bare et bord i et hjørne - hele resten av inngangen er en hyggelig cafe hvor det nesten alltid var besøk av ikke bare hotellets gjester. En ettermiddag var det f.eks strikkecafe der - hyggelig. Frokost i kjelleren i det som på kveldstid er bar/pub - helt greit men ikke mer. Rommet var også greit - vi var ikke helt heldige med plasseringen - rommet vendte ut mot ute-serveringen - men det var ikke noe stort problem - tidlig kveld i UK - så det ble fort rolig også i helgen.Men beliggnheten var perfekt om du skal besøke universitetet.

Bra beliggenhet og hyggelig betjening.
Det føles litt som å komme hjem når du bor på Clifton Hotel. Forholdene er små, og hotellet og rommene har sjarm og personlighet. Du får det du betaler for, og siden dette er et rimelig hotell vil jeg si at du får mye for pengene.

Sjarmerende lite hotell
Helt ok. Har bodd her flere ganger, og du får det du betaler for. Et lite og hyggeliog hotell, men med sine begresninger i komfort pga at det er gamelt. Men hotellet har sjarm, og en hyggelig betjening.

Enkelt standard , men greit , rent, veldig hyggelig personall. Det viktigste er at den er sentralt og lett å komme til , flybuss og buss til togstasjonen i nærheten

The room was warm but absolutely tiny. Did not even have a full size double bed. We also were not made away of the 12 a night parking charge. Staff were pleasant.

Single room is just that. Only one person can be in the room at any time. Shower was very small. Minimal amenities.

Only required a bed for 1 night. Lift out of order so had to use stairs up 3 levels, fine for me but not for anyone with mobility issues. Restaurant on site, menus & service options in room, I didn't use as visited family local to hotel. Room well presented, good supply of teas & coffee, bowl of fruit, mini fridge, radio & TV, en suite shower room. Will use again.

Noisy at night. Friendly staff. Welcome area nice. Location perfect. Single room adequate but very small. Price affordable for location but high for the quality and decor of room. Secure parking. Refreshments replaced without needing to ask. Fridge handy. Would rate higher if the spec of the room was better. Lift out of order however hotel called prior to arrival to warn of this.

Quirky hotel spoiled by accusation of £2 theft.
Lovely hotel in my favorite area in Bristol. Sadly all the many positives were outweighed when on arriving home i received a email where hotel accused me of stealing a £2 bottle of sparkling water from the mini bar. Such a shame and has totally spoiled the entire stay.

The room was clean but needed a refurbishment. The word i would use to describe would be 'fine'. We slept well and pillows were comfortable. It felt like for a small amount of money the hotel could make the room much nicer. Eg, currently no bedside table of plug socket by my side of the bed. Bathroom could be up graded. Plus points were: Excellent location Racks bar has a great atmosphere and nice staff. Reception staff were quite cheerful. Room was quiet enough even though lots of Christmas parties in Racks.

I stayed at this property for 1 night on the coldest day so far of the year. The heating was not switched on. Even when I asked the heating barely came on. The room was an ice block! Not cool!

Great place to stay
The pain is peeling but the staff are great and lots of lovely little touches. Comfy bed, complimentary fruit bowl, mini bar, proper glasses in the bathroom, nice and clean, good tea/coffee in room, warm and cozy, breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, restaurant did great pub type food also and good selection of drinks and cocktails. They asked for a security deposit on arrival which worried me but very little noise from other rooms and overall a great place to stay. Very close to uni where I was going.

The walls in this property are far too thin. In our ground floor room, not only did the music from the hotel’s basement bar and restaurant reverberate through the window and floor, but we were kept awake until 1am by the extremely loud TV, music and shouting from the guests next door. You can hear everything from the hallway - we even heard someone sneezing elsewhere. Window doesn’t open in the room - no option to get fresh air in as the old windows lift up slightly but are too heavy to hold themselves open. Would not stay again.

very old, very tired and shabby, room was tiny and very inconvenient in its layout, and extremely hot even though it was not hot weather. I had to have the window wide open, which meant the student bar crawl bar outside noise came reverberating round the room till midnight. The breakfast was also highly weird.

Disorganized booking
I could only comment on the booking. Both hotel and hotels.com would not take responsibility of whose at fault of letting us book a room that do not exist. It was late night, we called the hotel as soon as we booked for which they have confirmed. Half an hour later they called that they have no room for us.Although they rang to apologize and explained that its Hotels.com system’s error, the receptionist promised she will cancel and process the refund. Only to find out the next day that they didn’t. Then, I had to phone the hotel to request the cancellation. They are very disorganized.

Just really bad from trying to check in to the standard of the room for the price they charged could go on for hours basically avoid the hotel like the plague spend another £20 and stay in a chain hotel which I do t agree with with but this is shocking

Compact room, but delivered what I needed. It’s not grand, but good value. The staff were all friendly & helpful. The whole hotel has a nice vibe. There’s a good bar downstairs with staff who are cheerful, active & engaged. Great team.

Don’t expect anything fancy but it was a good surprise when I stayed a night in their second smallest size of a single room. Very functional and well kept for the price. With a box of Kleenex I would rate them full score!

Il Clifton Hotel ha una posizione ottimale, vicina al centro e anche al Clifton Suspension bridge, il tutto raggiungibile a piedi con una passeggiata! All'inizio mi è stata assegnata una camera francamente in pessime condizioni, probabilmente non pulita da un po', ma poi l'addetto alla reception (Tom) molto gentilmente mi ha sistemata in un'altra stanza, decisamente in condizioni migliori: ogni giorno è stata rifatta in maniera scrupolosa, bene!
