Hidden Treasure
A beautiful, high class property tucked away in a quiet leafy road. All rooms and equipment were high quality. We especially liked the south facing sitting room and outside patio. Our host was very welcoming, on arrival the kitchen came with a few very thoughtful essentials - plus some beautiful fresh cut flowers. We will certainly stay again :-)

Very good flat in Brighton
We have had a good time in Brighton, We come with our car, and park easy near the flat, thanks to the voucher of Julie; and we take easily the bus to go in the center of Brighton. We have gone to London from Preston station near the flat very easily. The flat is very well aquipped and the beds are good, very confortable. Thanks for all Julie !

Lovely weekend away
We went down to Brighton for the weekend as my wife was running the marathon. We have 3 boys so getting a hotel is a pain as we have to get 2 rooms. We found this apartment on vrbo and we were delighted with it. It was clean, comfortable, well decorated and fully equipped for a family. It was within a short walk of preston park for the start of the marathon and only a short taxi ride into the town which was cheaper then a bus, or parking in the town. The communication from owners was excellent and they left out fresh flowers and provided extras such as milk biscuits which the boys enjoyed and coffee,tea was included. Overall we were really pleased with our stay and it was reasonably priced to

Wonderful Stay in Brighton
We travelled here to attend a wedding in Brighton and the apartment was comfortable and spacious and very well equipped. It was located in a great location (15 minutes from Brighton) close to transport links (although there was a steep hill to negotiate from the Train Station, which was fun with suitcases!). Julie the host was also very helpful and friendly. A perfect stay and we would happily stay again if we were in the area).

A Lovely Place to Stay in Brighton
The apartment is spacious, very well-appointed, clean and very comfortable and homely. The location is convenient for access to Brighton and public transport links but it is also in a quiet, leafy neighborhood. Julie is a warm, welcoming host. All in all, a great stay and we would look to return when we are back in the area. Thank you!

Perfekte Unterkunft
Sehr gemütliche und sehr saubere Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Tolle Terrasse mit Gasgrill. Vermieter immer ansprechbar, aber nicht aufdringlich. Ruhige Wohngegend mit netten Pub um die Ecke. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und gut erholt.

Comfortable flat in nice area
We spent 6 nights in this well-equipped flat. Everything was very tidy and clean and we didn't miss a thing. Julie, the host was very friendly and stored our luggage the last day because our flight back home was very late. Thank you very much for a lovely stay in our Easter holidays.

We had 3 nights here and it was exceptionally clean on arrival with fresh flowers and milk also provided. Good park nearby for the children and a lovely pub in walking distance. The owner was also lovely and responded quickly when we asked a question. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic property! Spotless! Ideal location and close to transport links
Fantastic property! We really enjoyed our stay and the whole place was spotless! Excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. Upon arrival extra touches has been added such as fresh flowers, biscuits, milk etc- very thoughtful touches. Bedlinen was immaculate and not a thing was out of place and each room had quality fittings/touches - the only one slight comment to say would be the main sofa in the lounge (which I think was a sofa bed) was not very comfy - however a minor detail and would stay here again/would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful and comfortable property!
We had 4 brilliant nights staying at the Halcyon, it was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The main bedroom was particularly large, and the walk in shower was amazing! Free Wi-Fi was also a great bonus. Julie the owner of the property was so lovely and kind. She was very communicative and helpful, and ensured that we wanted for nothing during our stay. It was particularly nice to find on our arrival waiting for us a lovely vase of flowers, and also a delicious packet of chocolate cookies. There was fresh milk in the fridge and plenty of Tea, Coffee and Sugar! Julie also gave us great tips on places to visit during our stay. The parking was really good and all of the tourist attractions etc were in easy driving range. We would definitely recommend a stay at this property! Thank you so much.

Rundum zufrieden
Die Ferienwohnung ist nicht nur optisch sehr schön gestaltet, sondern auch sehr gut ausgestattet. Es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Die Betten sind wirklich bequem und die Lage ist ruhig und idyllisch. Insbesondere sind auch die Vermieter wirklich richtig nett und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort unsere Ferien verbringen. Toll.

Wunderschöne Wohnung
Freundliche, sehr gepflegte und toll eingerichtete Wohnung, in der wir uns von Anfang an (Blumen, Kaffee, Milch, Tee standen bereit) sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Kommunikation mit Vermieterin bzw. Vermieter war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, da sie direkt nebenan wohnen. Übers Handy waren sie auch jederzeit erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Die Wohnung liegt ca. 40 Minuten zu Fuß vom Pier, die Gegend mit Geschäften, Pubs und Cafes geht aber schon nach 15 Minuten los. Mit dem Bus fährt man ca. 10 bzw. 15 Minuten. Die Haltestelle ist um die Ecke, und auch der Bahnhof liegt nur ca. 10 Minuten entfernt (Züge nach London fahren alle halbe Stunde). Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist Sainsburys, zu Fuß etwa 5 Minuten. Das Pub unterhalb von Preston Park, The Park View, hat die besten Nachos, und man sitzt wunderschön dort. Der für uns schönste Strand war Rottingdean Beach, etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt, mit einem im Vergleich zum Strand in Brighton sehr schlichten und charmanten Cafe, von dem aus man seine Sachen gut im Blick haben konnte. Nochmal ein herzliches Dankschön an Julie und Bruce, dass aber auch das Nachhause-Kommen immer so schön war!

Just as depicted
We had a great time at this property, it is exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything is beautifully clean and the kitchen was very well-equipped. We were travelling with a 6 and 4 year old so we used the futon in the master bedroom so they could have separate beds, to save any arguing. They loved it, especially as there was a massive park 5 minutes away. The patio was great, we had good weather so had BBQs on two of our three nights, which was a novelty and saved on eating out. It is a 40 minute walk into town but we enjoy walking so this was better for us than being in the hustle and bustle all the time. The owner was very communicative but left us to our own thing, just as we prefer. Couldn't fault it. Only tip is the ignition on the BBQ doesn't work - which had us confused (although it it is noted in the manual we had missed), so you need matches, but we left a pack in the kitchen cupboard for the next guests.

Mates birthday weekend
Excellent apartment, spacious, clean, very comfortable beds & lovely shower. We thought it was well situated with nice pubs nearby. A lovely walk into Brighton where there is plenty to do. Only downside to the apartment was if you like a lay in, in the morning you don’t get it as the people who live above are very noisy as you hear them walking about from about 6.30 am not what you want at a weekend but we enjoyed our weekend away x

Immaculate and comfortable apartment.
My husband and I were delighted to find this lovely flat so close to our daughter’s home in Brighton. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and very clean, and we were charmed by the many welcoming touches such as fresh flowers and cookies. The little patio is delightful, although the rainy weather prevented us from using it! We’ll certainly be back. Thank you Julie and Bruce.

This flat has made our stay a success
Julie's flat is located in a very friendly area, where it was easy to park and leave our car for 4 days. The flat itself is very comfortable, tidy, nicely decorated, bright and contains everything you may need on holiday. In the summer the outside terrace must be a great place to have breakfast. Everyone was very happy with their beds and it was so quiet that we could sleep tight ! Shopping at Sainsbury's only takes you 5 mn, so does a walk to the local and wonderful pub (The Park View Hotel). We will definitely try this flat again if we come back to Brighton, where visiting, strolling, shopping is always a pleasure. Communicating with Julie and obtaining information has been very easy.

Wedding stay
Julie was a very helpful host giving us directions to local shops, pubs & which bus to catch in to town, which takes about 20mins. Property was ideal to share as a family for our son’s wedding. Perfect location for Preston Park area where most of the wedding venues were. Even managed to find a hairdresser within walking distance . Would definitely stay again.

Ideal base for Brighton.
Beautiful modern apartment on the outskirts of Brighton, tastefully decorated with good sized rooms. Lovely little decking area outside if you're lucky enough to have good weather! Parking can be a little difficult, but once you've found a spot you can leave your car there. The bus service is great, plenty running with a wait of no longer than 10-15 minutes. The bus stop is a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. Nearest supermarket is a local Sainsbury's, 5 minute walk down the hill, a good hearty walk back up though! Preston Park is a couple of minutes walk way, a lovely area with a walled and rock garden to wander through. Overall, this is an excellent property, I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it!

Schöne, ruhige Wohnung
Wir haben diese Wohnung gebucht, um einen 2-wöchigen Sprachaufenthalt zu besuchen. Die Lage war sehr schön, eine ruhige Umgebung. Unser Auto konnten wir immer an der Strasse parkieren. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, und die Beschreibung stimmt zu 100%. In der Küche war alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Wir empfehlen diese Wohnung zu 100% weiter und werden, falls wir wieder mal in Brighton sind wieder hier buchen. Vielen Dank an Julie!

Sehr herzlich und ein wunderschöner Ort
Wir haben uns bei der Familie von Julie Bates sehr herzlich aufgenommen gefühlt. Allein der Empfang mit Blumen etc. war ganz liebevoll. Wonderful
What a lovely first visit to Brighton we have had, the weather has been glorious. We are so pleased that we stayed in this accommodation, it was perfect for our needs. The location is great, a lovely area with nearby local shops and a great gastropub a few minutes walk away. It was very easy to travel into Brighton on a short bus ride or to walk. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We were warmly welcomed by Julie and were able to contact her should we have needed to. Thank you for a lovely stay and we shall definitely return here in the future.
