«The room was OK, but finding the hotel and finding the room within the hotel were both very difficult. They also asked for an additional card checking fee before check-in, though thankfully they waived this when we queried it. The remote check in made the start of the stay very stressful, but once we were in it was fine. There are some lovely period features in the property, but some of the paneling is actually wallpaper!»

"The room was down in a basement (mesanin) and it smelled mouldy. No windows to open and no heat in the bathroom. We paid for late checkout but the staff came in the room twice even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door. The breakfast was very nice with very friendly staff. Brighton is lovely and we will be back, but not at this hotel. "
