Very conveniently located hotel with large rooms and excellent updated shower and bathroom. Food was top notch - superb homemade fish pie and Kaileigh was an excellent server and looked after us really well.

Great weekend break at the George, West Bay.
It was a short break for us; the accommodation was spot-on regarding the location, room and food. The staff were very friendly, the weather only added to the what was a wonderful stay; thanks guys. :^) ;^}

A proper pub to stay in!
Wonderful place to stay, proper pub! Excellent location, staff very welcoming and so efficient. The food was piping hot and very good, huge portions "we like to feed people" was the response! The room was extremely comfortable and had a lovely view. Highly recommend.

A wonderful blend of comfort. Will be back
Fantastic room, with a comfy bed and lots of personal touches. Lovely, homely and stylish furnishing. Being part of a pub I feared noisy but that wasn’t the case. After 23:00, it was super quiet and only the seagulls to wake up in the morning. Strong pleasurable shower, I couldn’t decide between shower and bath- they were both so inviting. Great breakfast, filled up for the day

Can’t recommend highly enough we have just had the most amazing stay. We booked the premium room(4) and the photos don’t do it justice. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The breakfast sets you up for the whole day, just delicious. Great location as well. Very much hoping to return there.

Little Gem
Everything about the George is wonderful, from the fantastic staff to the clean comfortable rooms. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff in making you welcome and comfortable.Add to this the amazing food, you have a little gem of a hotel.

excellent couple of nights. Lovely food and drink, comfortable and surprisingly quiet room, friendly staff and a lovely, vibrant atmosphere in West Bay itself. Buses a bit haphazard though.

One of the best UK stays ever. Can’t fault this hotel. Free allocated parking. Easy check in. Fantastic atte rice service. Lots of staff and no waiting. Very good breakfast made to any order. Really did enjoy our stay

A pleasant stay.
Breakfasts were amazing! Service fantastic! The room was spotlessly clean. The bed was a little uncomfortable but we did sleep okay The only thing that really lets it down is the approach. There were weeds and rubbish including buckets of old cigarette ends by the doors. Also the car park was in need of a clean up.

Americans in West Bay
We stayed at the George for one night only. The room was a family room that was surprisingly large for 3 people. The room was spotless, and despite some confusion on our part in reading the description, there were sheets and towels. Breakfast was included and was lovely - fresh fruit, really good croissants and a cooked breakfast if you wanted. Staff were great. All around, an enjoyable stay.

All fine apart from,with it being an old pub,our room was on the top floor ,up 4 flights of stairs and due to age,no lift,but you dont know that when you book online.Room was fine,breakfast divine.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at The George. Room was large with a lovely view of the bay. Room was a bit dated but bed was comfortable and bathroom clean with good shower. The breakfast was excellent, well cooked and plentiful. We had a lovely meal in the pub on one evening. The sea bass was delicious. The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Thank you!

Relaxing short break
Lovely setting, really friendly staff and great breakfast! I have a dairy and gluten intolerance which was easily accommodated and with an alternative to soya milk which I hate! We also had lunch there when we arrived which was delicious and they kindly made up a side salad for me as an alternative to the garlic bread I couldn’t eat.

Breakfast and rooms superb!!!
The George had beautiful clean and comfortable rooms but If on the top floor make sure you are reasonably fit 😀 The breakfast was the stand out star of our stay as the service was superb and the food excellent Only a very small thing the parking was a tad difficult on the wet day as , understandably the staff had parked in the free car park, my wife popped in and the staff kindly let us park up as all spaces were occupied this was not the case on the evening but it could be something to watch

Loved this place. Perfectly positioned near the harbour at West Bay. My room was very spacious. Clean and with a lovely view. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was fab and there is good choice of reasonably priced bar food
