Moments after settling into the cabin Fonzi the owner sent a text he was in the area and was on his to stop by to answer any questions we might have. I replied everything is okay, it was not necessary to stop by. Three minutes later he arrived at the door, stepped in and started going over many things about the cabin. He told us he didn't want us to use the gas fireplace too much so the propane tank would last the whole season. On his way out he informs us his office is 7 feet from our bedroom in the shed beside the deck. I couldn't believe it. He very proudly said he took care of 16 properties at Tiger Run Resort from this office and will be coming and going from the property. VRBO's policy states the owner is not to access the property w/o giving advanced notice. The policy also mentions that the owner cannot withhold information that would affect your stay. In my opinion the owner coming and going goes against one's privacy for a vacation. VRBO was contacted. They contacted the owner who called me. What upsets me the most is he waited until his visit to the house to inform us of his having an office, next to the deck. Nowhere in the VRBO property listing does he mention the office. During our conversation he asked what he could do to make things right and we agreed I would leave, pay for the two- night stay, and the cleaning fee. He agreed to refund the remaining cost. No refund ever was received. We just want people to know the owner will be working on the property.
